In building through the draft, the Lakers have

PG: Russel
SG: Clarkson
SF: Ingram
PF: Randle
C: Mozgov

Question being, if the Lakers are a high lottery team next year, what do you feel is the best move for them?

A) A solid big/ rim protector
B) A solid 2 that can move Clarkson to a 6th man role
C) A solid 3 (Giles/Tatum) that can move Ingram to the 2

This is all assuming that they continue to strike out in Free Agency for the next few years.

Bonus: Do you think that Walton is the coach that will bring this group along and will help them to reach their potential?

I doubt the Lakers keep their pick next year. It's top 3 protected and I just don't see us getting that lucky again.

I love our young core you listed + Nance and Zubac and I'm hoping like hell LA signs Westbrook.

If they sign Westbrook, what does that mean for Russell? A move the 2 or the bench?

I can see the Lakers being competitive. Their roster has quietly become one of the better "quality" rosters. Not a lot of wins but something in the neighborhood of 34-36 wins. Against the teams that don't play defense they should be able to win a few of those. I hate saying this because I hate all things LAL and California for that matter (minus the A's).

Far, far away. I do like the kid they got in round 2 (Zubac). I think he has a ceiling of Marc Gasol, but it's going to take a while. He's only 19 years old.

They have goofed on the #2 pick twice. No one wants to play with Russell and they should have went with Buddy the sure thing over Ingram the project

thats a poor take. they have a young team with a couple nice pieces. its not quality and it certainly hasnt gone down quietly

Weighing 196 currently. He was in the 160's after his senior season of HS. I don't think it's far fetched for Ingram to get up to 220 by his second season.

Anyone arguing the Lakers should've picked Buddy over Ingram has some screws loose lol
