They are paying Jim Harbaugh 8 mill a year to be a perennial 3 loss coach.

Problem is his braggadocios arse came in like he would never lose to the rivals again

And then he proceeds to be Dantonio and Urban's little bitch

He wont ever beat Ohio State and will have a losing record against big brother

Embarassing

Name me a program outside of Ohio state and Alabama that wouldn't have paid harbaugh big money if they were in the market for a coach in December of 2014

Here's a better question for you trolls

Who is a better coach currently on the market now that Michigan should hire if they fire jim harbaugh?

One final question

It's December 2014. You are UM AD

You receive word that jim harbaugh is willing to come but because of steep competition with NFL teams, it will be costly

What do you do

1) pass on harbaugh and hire another person who is available in 2014

2) pay him what is necessary to get him to come

What does on the market have to do with it? All coaches are on the market, especially if you're willing to pay one $9 million.

FYI, I personally think Harbaugh is a good coach. He's not Urban-level, but he's good. Probably overpaid, yes, but is doing a pretty good job with that program. My previous post was more a dig at Alleva's shallow pockets and general hiring prowess.

Harbaugh is a very good coach, but it was (and is) foolish to name him in the same breath as Saban and Meyer in the college ranks to this point. The media had a lot to do with that.

His seat shouldn't be warm, but he should be expected to live up to his salary by next season. Would a division title in year 4 be acceptable, at least?

Meh I'll give him a pass for now. His qbs have sucked arse despite his quarterback whisperer reputation. Wanna see what he does with baby McCafrey, but if he can't do it with him then he's probably not gonna do it.

Who cares how much they are paying him? It's chump change for a school like Michigan...

I don’t understand people piling on Jim right now. Do you not understand the guy lost most of his team from last year and his starting qb this year? Common sense people
