GS currently is at 29-1, Philly at 2-31. Also predict the number of each. I say Golden State loses 9 games (NBA record) but Philly wins 8 (also an NBA record over an 82 game season).

What makes y'all think Golden State loses that many games?

You think GS doesn't start resting players over the stretch or have a significant injury during that time?

What is crazy is the Spurs have only 6 loses and are 18-0 at home and nobody is talking about them...

I think GS will have more losses than the 76ers will have wins

Steph played 30.6 minutes per game in the last month last year when they had the first seed wrapped up. Only 2 less than he had all year.

Draymond, Klay, and Steph aren't very injury prone, and nobody else really hurts them that much. Even 1 of Klay or Draymond wouldn't be a big deal.

Remember when Steph was considered very injury prone?

Yep. That's why the Bucks chose Monta Ellis over Curry in their trade for Bogut and Jackson.

GS is 66-10 since 2/27/15 (including their playoff run). Considering the fact their record since then includes the playoffs and this isn't an expansion year, I'd say this current run surpasses the Bulls 1996 run already

They are 70-12 if you look at their last 82 games including the playoffs, which is undoubtedly more impressive than the Bulls stretch, but I'm not a huge fan of pulling together the end of one season and the beginning of another.

Gsw has 7 losses and 76ers will end up with about 10 wins. Ish leading them to the promised land of double digit wins.

History. We've seen teams have incredible starts and then "fade" down the stretch.

Of the top 10 teams with regards to winning % in NBA history, these are their results for each half of the season.

38-3, 34-7 - 95-96 Bulls
38-3, 31-10 - 71-72 Lakers
36-5, 33-8 - 96-96 Bulls
37-3, 31-10 - 66-67 76ers (81 game season)
34-7, 34-7 - 72-73 Celtics
34-7, 29-12 - 84-85 Celtics
29-12, 32-9 - 90-91 Bulls
33-8, 34-7 - 99-00 Lakers
33-8, 34-7 - 06-07 Mavericks
35-6, 32-9 - 14-15 Warriors

Only 3 teams finished the season better than they started, 1 team split evenly, and the other 6 averaged over 5 losses more in the second half than the first half of the season.

That being said, barring a major injury, I think Golden State easily takes out 72-10. I'd actually be legitimately surprised at this point if they do NOT go at least 73-9.

Golden State's run is very impressive, but how can you say it's undoubtedly more impressive than a team that went 72-10 then 69-13 the next season?

They'll lose about 10 games. It is a very long season and things happen. Back to backs. Long road trips. Inexplicable losses. After the All-Star Break things start to tighten up, the playoff contenders start balling harder. And GS will really be everyone's championship game at that point, they will be getting everyone's best shot.

Injuries, nicks and bruises, off nights. It just happens.

They will still be an all-time great team barring some catastrophe.

1. Golden state's run includes the playoffs.
2. Those Bulls teams were in an expansion era.
