I don't hate Cal and Stanford because of sports but hate their sports teams because those schools are insufferable.

The eastern part of the state is quite good. RTJ golf trail, Chattahoochee River, Lake Martin, and better schools. Add in Gulf Shores and it’s not bad. Just avoid Tuscaloosa in the West.

Well in the case of Penn State, sickos within the athletic department shined a light on how shitty the entire school is so that’s why a lot of people hate Penn State. And I could see Bama fans acting the same way actually.

As much as I like to hate LA Tech, ULM and Arky State, Penn State is the one school I legitimately hate.
Would NEVER pay for my kid to go there.

Funny story related to this. A guy who tailgates with us sent his daughter to Bama. This guy is a massive LSU fan. It killed him that she wanted to go there, but she wasn't a sports fan. She got a full ride, and he figured it wasn't worth causing an issue.
Fast forward ten years, and she's married to an obnoxious Bama grad, and of course, everyone in her family can't stand him. This guy was getting into heated arguments at our tailgate 2 years ago over the silliest chirps. Apparently, he had security come talk to him during the game because of his behavior. He's what I imagine Bear88 is like in real life. No genuine discussion. Pure zealotry.
Now the guy says his biggest regret in life is letting her go to Alabama
He told his daughter never to bring him around when there are sports involved.

My daughter did graduate from the University of Florida, and I am tremendously happy about it and proud of her accomplishment.
