If a batter walked in the box and the pitcher threw him 100 pitches in a row(all the same pitch) and told the batter what was coming the hardest pitch to hit would be a hard slider. Followed by a hard sinker. A change up would be much easier to hit. It obviously enters te discussion when used in a game where pitchers throw it off of their FB.

Hard slider, change-up thrown by hard thrower who masters perfectly replicating release point (Hoffman is good example), and split finger would be my top 3

I would say a ball, especially a pitchout, is harder to hit than any pitch mentioned so far.

Fastball on the black or a backdoor slider are pretty tough
