I have to disagree on the Lake Travis statement but I will agree with you on 2015 Katy

Top to bottom best defense I have ever seen. Fast, physical and disciplined. If you happen to hit a wide open receiver (which was rare to ever get to do against that D) they close in so fast on the receiver that the YAC is minimal

2008 lake Travis and Allen had one opponent in common, Longview. Fwiw

LT beat them 48-23, and put up more yards passing and rushing. LV only managed 135 yards on LT

Allen beat Longview 21-7, and allowed 276 on the ground to them

I didn't see anyone beating that LT team at the end of the season

Definitely best defense to ever take the field. I would be willing to bet that even the Todd Dodge southlake teams would struggle against that defense

They are legendary based on their defense. Had something like 10 shutouts

They were indeed. Since you're from southlake, i must ask is Kirby's steakhouse good or overrated?

Eh defense was not all that for a lot of the season. Trinity and Desoto both could have beat Allen if not for Kyler murray

2013 Allen had the OL, the front 7, and murray

1987 Plano deserves mention. 16-0. Back to back state champs. National champs ... FWIW in high school.

Ran the midline option behind a massive o-line and no one could stop it. A thing of beauty when executed correctly.

2008 Lake Travis was good, but not even the best team in Texas that year.

2015 Katy is the best defense I've ever seen, so they would be up there.

Yep... the 2015 Lake Travis team was a fantastic team. And Katy absolutely shut them down. So much violent speed on that Katy team this past year.

Yep. I live in rockwall, and we lost to LT in round 4. They were a fantastic team. Offensively and defensively. Then to see how Katy just manhandled them was shocking.

1983 Daingerfield

They gave up ZERO points defensively all season. They outscored opponents 631-8 and those 8 points came on a safety and a pick 6.

Probably the most dominant in TX history for their class. That's the program movies should've been made about.

The 2006, 2004, and 2002 Southlake Carroll teams were pretty sick.
