miami has been solid since #HaithCrimes was gone, and Larranega took over

We completely gutted and redid our arena a few years back, it's virtually brand new.

Do y'all have a general studies major yet and is everyone still required to take calculus?

No, and we never will.

Not quite. The Business degrees can now take "Survey of Calculus" instead of Calc 1.

I just hope to god we open the coffers and go after a coach we think is going to make a difference. Not another holdover like Gregory was. We still have 3 years at 0.9 million left on the golden contract and now will owe Gregory 0.75 next year and 0.5 the following.

And yet Pitt and Syracuse were top tier teams in the Big East and are now .500 teams in ACC play. The jury is out on Louisville. Notre Dame has been comparable.
How did 2-5 in the Big East fare this postseason?
5 of the Seeet Sixteen and their 3rd best team was ineligible for the Tournament. Pretty damn overrated.
And please remind me what happened to Villanova last year.

Louisville has fared very well so far in the ACC and will continue to do so.

That's a really interesting statement and worth its own thread. I know you are a WV fan/alum. The ACC has two #1 seeds, and both still alive and kicking as I type.
Author's note, I went to HS in NoVa. Same as Randolph Childress, George Lynch, Dennis Scott amongst others, so I too may be a bit biased.
What's interesting about the ACC is that in the early 90s - every school had their moments/years. The Lethal Weapon years at GT, Fire and Ice at NC St, Stith and Co at UVA, Sura at FSU, MD had the Joe Smith, Exree, Simpkins years that led to a Nat'l Championship in the early Aughts, while Duke and UNC always topped the conference.
So you can argue that the conference has been watered down by football (money) expansion, but, the conference has four of the last seven Nat'l championships.
The TRUE Big East is no more. The Big XII is good. The Pac12 blows. But the ACC is the best and should be even better. There's no reason an Atlanta school should be bad. The Florida schools should be competitive. At least one of the VA schools. Two of the NC schools. The ACC shouldn't be a grind. It should be more. The SEC of basketball for lack of better words and respect. Every year.
It's not only way more than not overrated, it's probably, even w/ bias, underrated.

Meh. Once Pitino gets fired/goes to jail/retires they'll be a mediocre ACC team. Your football team already is mediocre at best even with Louisville's chosen one as head coach.

People will be begging for the U of L job. It maybe one of the top 10 basketball jobs.

Coming from Dayton I don't know why, but I thought he'd do better in Atlanta.
Any names being thrown around?

Could depend on probation. Luckily for them Pitino has fricked up enough that they shouldn't be in the position of letting him name his successor.

The probation will not be that bad because they self initiated. What they did is no different than any recruiting weekend, just used wrong people.
The fake outrage people have is dumb. Go to any recruiting weekend and same thing happens. The assistant needs to be shot though because you use students not escorts.

Well hookers is a difference. Nobody's really outraged beside UK fans who are obviously faking but you gotta take your medicine when you get caught.

I believe Pitino when he said he didn't know. Because he didn't know where the girls came from and the assistant was stupid as a rock.
He knew his recruits got screwed but not by some skank arse crack ho that was hired.
