Are you serious? Alonso isn't white. His dad is Cuban and his mom is Columbian. Pretty sad thing to be totally wrong about..

But the fact remains that he will be an easy target in the media until he also gets rid of the guy who publicly said he was going to beat up...well...you know.
Never said it was right or accurate.
Yeah but Chip DGAF. The man is a 50 year old football coach, never been married, no kids, the man has dedicated his life to football.
He certainly isn't going to let some hack reporters bother him.

downvote. Alonso isn't even white

I said "white," not "Caucasian." The same way people like Rob Parker argue that African Americans who do not fit the mold (like RGIII) are not "black."
I am fully aware that Kiko Alonso is not Caucasian. However, he is also a fairly anonymous tackling machine who doesn't draw attention to himself. So in a world where Chip Kelly is racist, he must be white because those are the players he wants.

Chip Kelly just wants less blacker players if that makes any sense
Chip just wants corn ball brothas. They buy into his system and they don't take offense to Riley Cooper's insensitive comments. Win win

but it's weird as hell how Riley Cooper has been able to outlast Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy on the Eagles roster.

Desean Jackson Cap Hit (in 2016 -->) - at $9.25 million
Jeremy Maclin Cap Hit (in 2016 -->) - at $12.4 million
Lesean McCoy Cap Hit (in 2016 -->) - at $7.657 million
Riley Cooper Cap Hit (in 2016 -->) - at $4.8 million

which is not happening in a statistically relevant amount but hey, let's run the country based on anecdotes

Cooper has a motor and football IQ.

Admittedly, I have only broadly followed this story. I haven't dug to deep into it, so take my post with a grain of salt.
I have no ill-will towards Philadelphia, but I also have no affinity towards the franchise, either. However, most of these claims seem to be about as baseless as it gets.
The overarching argument among the conspiracy theorists seems to be: "Chip Kelly has ridded himself of X amount of black players, who happened to have been some of Philly's best players. However, he has kept players like Riley Cooper on the roster. Therefore, he's racist."
Just to repeat what bmark said (earlier in the thread):
- He traded LeSean McCoy for a very good LB in Kiko Alonso, who also happened to be one of Chip's players at Oregon. I may be wrong, but did anyone even bat any eye to the "racial implications" until McCoy sounded off?
- Kelly replaces McCoy with a very good runner in DeMarco Murray. Time will tell if Murray is as good as his statistics showed in 2014, but there is no doubt he is an effective runner. Murray is black
- Kelly ridded himself of a controversial DeSean Jackson. Kelly then inserts Jeremy Maclin, who missed the entire 2013 season, and he proceeds to have a career season.
- Jeremy Maclin was a FA this off-season. He commanded $11 million/year and Philly "only" offered $9 million/year. Maclin leaves to sign a bigger deal.
- To take his place, Kelly drafts a combine warrior (and a very good player) in Nelson Agholor. Agholor is black.
- Chip also hasn't been shy with the media in talking about a player in Evan Mathis that has been to two straight Pro Bowls. Kelly straight up said that he has been "available for trade for two years." Mathis is white.
I dislike what this story has become. There are some that don't agree with some of the moves that Kelly has made, but it is a pretty serious accusation to label someone a "racist" without any definitive evidence.

Chip Kelly is a good coach, any racist implications are exaggerated. He is fielding the best team he can not players.
