I'm just saying if you think baseball will ever be played differently you're wrong.

This will always be a part of the game.

Every pro athlete is prideful af.

For some reason pitchers are among the few who have such thin skin they need safe spaces and "sacred" traditions to make themselves feel better.
Bingo.

How about instead of hitting him with a fastball, strike his arse out and stare him down as he walks back to the dugout?

Nope. Pitchers can't handle showboating.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying it's not going to change. Also fans love bean balls.

That's good to know.

Good thing I never said anything about pride or changing the game.

its just weird. pitchers can yell, holler, and clap their hands whenever a big out happens but the second a batter flips their bat, or stares at their homer, rounds the bases too slowly, or does anything other than just quietly leave the batter box he has to worry about his head being taken off

Not the exact same situation but these were two that I remember just from the last few weeks of the season that were very similar

Both were about "running up the score" lol

Same thing with football.

"Oh you showboated on that long TD? We'll blindside him on the next series."

GTFO with that shite.

Seriously. Boggles my mind that grown arse men lose their shite over this nonsense.

It'd be like a kid sticking out his tongue at another kid on the playground, so that other kid gets a pass to pistol whip the first kid

What is happening to the Braves in this thread? I think it's all dumb, I'm just saying baseball isn't alone in it

I guarantee if you took a poll, the majority of fans would say that fighting (resulting from a hit by pitch) makes the game more exciting.

It's like the people trying to take fighting out of hockey when a vast majority of the fans love it.

I might have missed it, but I haven't seen them catch much shite ITT. Because it's the norm in baseball. It's accepted tradition.

Raptors universally caught shite.

So you think a majority of fans would like MLB to outlaw retribution hit by pitches?

I 100% disagree. I don't know any of my baseball buddies growing up who would agree with that either and I'm 26
