Love deal suggestions: 1. work under CBA 2. provide cap relief 3. Provide future assets 4. Help Wolves compete to placate ownership 5 Fit

So if you're a Rockets fan, don't send me "Here, take these two horrible contract and a mid-level star I have to overpay and no picks"

Also, if you're a Lakers fan... you might get him but I have NO IDEA what you'd trade along with the lottery pick. You have nothing.

As a Rockets fan I don't want him coming here, or Melo for that matter. I wouldn't mind getting Isiah Thomas or someone like that. It doesn't make sense to shake up a team that won 54 games in the west despite tough injuries. Its taken five years of Morey making deals left and right its finally paid off.

Rockets could send Parsons Lin Asik and a pick. This would be the only situation I would be ok with dealing Parsons, would give them the best front court in the league

A first round exit is "paying off"?

Sounds about right.

It was upsetting no doubt, but you can't say that we aren't a contender. And remember we lost at the buzzer so its not like we were blown out of the gym like Chicago.

Golden State can offer Lee and either Thompson, Barns, or Iggy. Seems like an OK deal for the T-Wolves. Houston can send something like Parsons, Asik and Jones + future picks which would be a good haul.

Yeah, these are the best two options for the Wolves so far. Houston has the most to offer, honestly.

If I'm Minny, I take Parsons, Asik, and Jones + a pick for Love. Easily. He's going to leave, and that's a great offer.

The Wolves aren't going to get a fair market offer for Love, so the destinations that make sense are going to be teams that can offer a couple of mid level guys like Parsons and Asuk, and the prospect of cap relief or a pick. For the Rockets, they'd be rejiggering their identity seriously for about the 8th time in 5 years.

The other way to go is to talk Boston into parting with the future Nets picks. A Boston team with a lottery pick this year, Kevin Love at PF, Rajon Rando at point, and Jeff Green at SF has a realistic chance to have a bright future in the Eastern Conference. It is the deal that makes the most sense for both partners.

Unfortunately, in either circumstance, Minnesota is going to be fortunate to get back 60 cents on the dollar, in trade value.

The Suns have a TON of picks and if they could somehow use those, maybe involve some other teams, and keep the key players they have they would be scary good!

Why in the world would they take on Asik with Pekovic and Dieng on board?

Obviously you haven't noticed how the NBA is moving towards a 3 center rotation

Wolves need wing players, and would need a PF

They should trade him soon, but I would not be the least bit surprised if they don't. Shite organizations like the T'Wolves will hold out expecting far too much for him. They are in a position of strength right now but will overplay their hand and lose him for nothing next year.

From Atlanta? They'd have to give up Milsap with Teague and take on Barea. Plus no way Love wants to go to ATL

The best answer would be because they have a deal in place for Pekovic, using his cost-controlled new contract, and an inside angle to settle a long term arrangement with Asik.

Asik would be a $15 mil hit to the Wolves, but would be off the books in a year. Worth the gamble to take him if you get Parsons and Jones? Both are good players with friendly cap numbers. Honestly, they aren't going to get much for Love now they know they are going to lose him. Other teams know that too.
