Yeah.... and thats not all necessarily true either. During the combine, there was talk that the Saints were looking for a trade partner for Sproles. Nobody was really interested in making a move before FA. Then the Saints said they cant find a trade partner, then they would release him. Now, after FA where players were signed to teams and all that, someone is interested in trading a late draft pick for him.

And the Saints GM was speaking with Sproles agent. If anything, the agent made some mistakes and jumped the gun on Sproles getting released and the media ran with it.

What happens if a player tell a team he will sign with them, and then another team steps in and offers more money? Is the obligated to sign with the first team?

I understand what her problem is. I guess it was dicky of the Saints to not tell them, but it is 100% irrelevant, because they Saints could / should do what is best for the future of their organization which is clearly to take the 5th round pick offered by the Eagles.

why wouldn't they test the waters first before telling him that?

This, why tell him anything?

Darren is a professional and he knows how it works. I'm sure he would have understood if the front office told him we'll probably shop you around.

You are just speculating. She said the Saints(not his agent) told him that he would be released. The Saints lied to him and didn't have the balls to tell him before the media. It probable happens all the time but it doesn't change the fact that its a bitch move.

Well they were trying to keep him in the loop so he could prepare his family for a move.

But they should have kept him in the dark since his wife is dumb

Black women aren't very good at social media, generally. Just an observation.

Everyone is just speculating when it comes to who was directly speaking to who. And when it comes to free agency and trades and what not, the GMs speak with the agents. Thats the agents job.

But, the Saints did say they were looking to trade Sproles, and if they couldnt find a suitor that they would release him. Said that at the combine.

Oh and after the media came out and said Sproles was going to be released, he said it was a shock to him and was the 1st he heard of it. So yea....

Change of plans are just a way to make you feel better about lying.
