She made her point - that she's unworthy of the financial support she gets.

Darren should consider trading up.

I think everyone gets why she's upset

The saints should have just kept him in the dark and not told him he was getting released at all.

That would have been the better solution than allowing him time to prepare to move his family

The Saints didn't anticipate that there would be so much interest in him. I'm sure they meant what they said when they said it. I understand him wanting to pick his own team but he knows the business. No reason to be salty over it.

Gets paid millions, complains she doesn't get to choose where she lives...

He signed a contract with Saints, and I doubt it says in there, "when we are ready to let you go you can choose where you go no matter what the return to our organization is".

Kept in the dark? The Saints should of just been honest and said we are going to trade you if we can if not we will release you.

It sucks. If I was Darren or his wife ID probably be pissed too. But at the end of the day, its just the way things go. Its business, and sometimes business just sucks

I think she has a point; however, she is correct it is a brutal business.

Sproles did a lot for this team and they should have stayed true to their alleged word. However, they probably should have shopped him to gauge interest before making that purported promise.

She is entitled to be upset but it is a business and the saints aren't going to pass up a draft pick when they were going to release the player without getting anything.

It sounds like the Saints didn't intend to mislead Sproles or his family - they were just unprepared to see several teams making offers for him (instead of letting him go for free).

if blaine gabbert is worth a 6th, then the saints were being greedy playing mr. and mrs. sproles for just a 5th who probably will be a bum anyway. this could hurt them in the future on another free agent bc guys talk.

sproles did too much for the saints for them to lie to him for a 5th... the saints could have held out for a better deal

And he was paid for his services. The Saints don't owe him anything other than that. I'm sure they'd handle this situation differently if they could but at the end of the day they had every right to trade him. He knows that.

Do we know for a fact that they didn't?

I doubt this woman is the most reliable narrator of events.

You are just speculating. She said the Saints(not his agent) told him that he would be released. The Saints lied to him and didn't have the balls to tell him before the media. It probable happens all the time but it doesn't change the fact that its a bitch move.

they shopped him around at the combine. Salary cap increased and teams have more money to spend

She's the only narrator of the events.

Or it could be a Carl Nicks, Jahri Evans, Colston, PT, Joe Morgan, Bushrod, Strief,Morestead etc.

We've had good late round success despite having the 2nd least amount of picks during Payton's tenure
