I think it works for baseball and I think the NBA should adopt it as well.

No. It is absurd that an exhibition game decides home field advantage for the World Series

Nope. Teams should be rewarded for winning the most games not for something out of their control.

No it is idiotic, especially paired with the every team gets an all star rule.

You could sell me on total interleague records of the playoff contenders.

I don't know if there is a great way to decide to homefield, but I'm pretty sure this is one of the worst ways to go about it. So I'm not a fan.

No, because it's still treated as an exhibition and not a meaningful game.

It's pretty ridiculous that the game might be decided in the late innings by some backups and RPs from teams who won't sniff the playoffs. Or it might be players from winning teams, but the managers are going to manage in order to get as many people as possible into the game and not overextend pitchers, not just to win.

I don't really care. MLB isn't the NFL or NBA. Home field advantage has very little effect on the outcome of a short postseason series.

It's never been this way. It just alternated, which is certainly no better than the current way. I'd prefer home field throughout for best record myself, but if that's not an option, I can't understand how people get so worked up over this All-Star thing.

Personally I think that in the World Series, each team should get three games at home and then if it goes to a game seven that should be at a neutral site predetermined.

As of 2014, 23 of the previous 28 World Series Champs were won by the team with home field advantage. Not sure how the last two years have gone.

Just checked. It's 24 of last 30

Historically home teams only won 54% of games, very small compared to the NBA and especially the NFL

It's the only all star game I can watch these days. And I don't mind it deciding home field, because a winning record doesn't necessarily mean you're a better team. A favorable schedule/division can go a long way in the MLB.
