Man. I wish I could dig up the threads on this board.

this board doesnt mean dick when it comes to NBA fandom opinion at large. Its far too Southern based for that.

and at saying CP3 wasnt hated until he got to the Clips. Hell naw baw you need to get on actual NBA boards mayne. Dude has been getting tons of hate for being a floppy little punk arse for a long time now.

I'm not going to try to defend Dwight. I've never been a huge fan. I think he's very immature, and he cares way too much about what people think, which causes him to be really fake. But I think Harden, Smith, and even Beverley are very misunderstood. Put those guys in Spurs jerseys, and everyone loves them.

Harden is just a better version of Manu at the end of the day.

And Tony Parker is a bigger scumbag than any Rocket, but nobody cares. The guy cheated on Eva Longoria with the wife of a teammate. But he gets a free pass.

Uhh, current Lakers and Knicks hate tons of haters.

Again, you cant use TD to talk about NBA fandom at large.

Are you kidding? I read r/nba every day. People love the Kobe-less Lakers right now, and that is a fact. They suck, so people want to see Swaggy P and Lin succeed.

I just hope we draw the Mavs in the first round because that series will be a blast.

I like Beverly. He has a bad rep for one unlucky hustle play vs. one of the leagues biggest bitches.

Smith isn't hatable/lovable either way.

Harden is hot and cold for me. When I watch him play the right way I am infatuated with his game. Sunday was just embarassing for both of those 2. My biggest gripe with him is if you get physical, he takes it to a crazy level flopping. I don't blame him. It works. Others do it. It's just hard to watch and takes me out of the game. I feel that's fair.

Yup. Westbrook literally does the exact same thing. It was a fluke.

I'm glad you feel this way, but a tremendous number of people just want to watch this guy fail. It's amazing how he plays on a team that has a true alpha dog in Harden.

As someone who watched every game, I will concede that sometimes Harden complains too much. But what people don't realize is that he really is fouled the overwhelming majority of the time he is at the line. His quickness Euro step is just impossible to defend, so players fouls him, and he extends the ball out in the lane, and players can't help slap the shite out of him trying to grab the ball.

The fact is that if more NBA players could do what he does, they would.

Yeah, the Rockets are more akin to the Bengals.

The only people who dislike the Rockets are people on this board who get mad at Boom's trolling. I'd say most of the country's NBA fans don't really give a shite.

Good teams have haters followed by a Patriots comparison? Holy shite man. You're delusion is reaching boom levels you might want to take a step back. You're better than that imo.

Tell me, what NBA team has the fewest losing seasons in the NBA in the last 30 years. Don't waste your time looking, it's the Rockets.

I don't like this comparison. The Rockets are always going 6 or 7 super competitive games. The Bengals just suck in the playoffs. I just don't think Dalton is capable of playing well enough for them to win playoff games.

Harden is much better than Dalton but they both have the rep for not playing well in the playoffs.

Harden was great for the Thunder. He was a huge part in getting them to the Finals, but people only remember the Finals that year. And he was bad.

He has struggled with Houston, but I think he gets that monkey off his back this year. He has improved in every facet this year, so I have no reason to believe that won't translate. He has been so clutch this year. I think he will bring that confidence to the playoffs.

Well part of the reason is that the refs call games differently in the playoffs. Unless that changes, he'll always be slightly less effective at least. If he's not getting to the line, he's so much less of a threat.

What if I told you....that Harden shoots more FTs in the postseason than in the regular season?

Then I'll admit I did no research and just going off of what looked like him not getting the same calls for the same fouls that I saw in the regular season.

What Boom said. He actually just was missing all of his open shots against Portland. His crossovers and stepbacks were getting him open shots, but he couldn't make them. Then he started recklessly driving looking for more contact than usual because he lost confidence in his shot (so you aren't completely wrong). Players have slumps all of the time, and I truly believe that Harden has just had very untimely slumps twice with Houston. I don't think it will happen this year.

I do think that Harden got a lower percentage of calls he wanted down low in the playoffs last year, but I also think that he was just so clearly not using half of his game because of the shots not falling.
