Sad but true but you can only get hunched so many times before most casual fans fold up the tents.

The biggest issue despite whatever overall staff stats show there is no single guy (excluding McCullers) that I trust won't blow up on a given start. Keuchel has been better but I'm gonna need 2- 3 more qs before I'd trust him in an away game wild card start

I can't wait to be back home for a weekend and be at the Saturday game when the Cubs are in town to watch the Stros beat them.

Who would you hire to replace Hinch?

I'm not saying he is the best choice... And I'm almost ready to see him go. But honestly, I don't know who you bring in? Bogar?

Second set of questions, if the Astros somehow make it into the playoffs and win a series, do you give management ANY credit?

Depending on who the team is and where the game is played, I would start Musgrove in a WC game. Problem is, he is already at a career high on innings pitched.

But really, Fister is the logical starter for WC.

I have to wait and see who is available but we can do better. If they make the playoffs they will have earned it and I absolutely would give the management credit for not quitting....doesn't mean they didn't underachieve.the lack of moves for pitching this offseason hurt us badly.

Tonight was the first time in his career -minor and major- that he walked more than 1 in a game. He's starting to fade

I see what you're saying about the pitching. It just seems that Crane is not going to have a huge payroll. So if they had spent a fortune on pitching, that means they wouldn't have much for the springer/-Altuve/Correa contracts when the time comes.

Sipp was a terrible pick up. Fiers is not dependable.

But Fister would've proven to be a huge pick up if Keuchel and McHugh could've come close to pitching like last year. And I don't think you can blame Luhnow to LMJ being hurt most of the saeason.

If he pitches like last year and if Keuchel and McHugh only have average regression, instead of catastrophic regression - the pitching staff would've been pretty solid with the move he did make.

Lot of "what ifs" though.

Hell, if the Astros could play .500 ball against the Rangers, this would be a very different looking season.

I get what you're saying but don't act so innocent about people melting. Hell, I did it with Giles

5/14. .357 start.
