Well we got 2 out of it. Really good AB by springer after going down 0-2.

Could've really opened it up but it's a start.

Baltimore down 3-1 in 7th
Detroit down 2-1 in 5th
Mariners down 1-0 in 3rd
Royals up 3-0 in 2nd

Does anyone know what Bregs' games w a K streak is at?

Even if not consecutive, I would guess it could be something close to 19 out of 20?

So is Breg getting a rest day from 3rd or has his errors opened the door for this new kid?

Dude is 32.

Hinch uses the DH to give some guys partial days off. Gurriel hadn't started in the field yet (only DH). He's an infielder by trade but is learning to play left. I guess they wanted to get him back into the field at a position he's comfortable with.

17 of 20 I think

I'm not real concerned with the Ks it's not like he's at 30% or something. He was at 24% before the game today. And over the last month he's at around 20%. Not great, but not terrible, Correa is at 20% for the season

Bregs will be fine

Is this an issue for you?

I'm a little more concerned than you.

Too many off LH, and too similar in location

Also considering who's on deck behind him

Rookie's BA is better than half the starters this year and that's going hit less forever 0-32.

Not sure what your definition of issue is, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

With his K's being so consistent, regardless of opposing pitcher, in the most enviable spot in any lineup in MLB, you don't think it's worth a mention?

I think you're being a little over critical. He's hitting over .300 in his last 30 games, he's had a few strikeouts, but it's not an alarming number.

Good hitters go through spells like this, hell Correa was at 25% through the end of May, and he's a borderline great hitter.

I mean the guy only has 140 plate appearances

ETA: since August 4th, he's hit .313/.374/.563 152 wRC+ 9.2%BB 22.4%K

Were you concerned with Correa having a 25% K rate through the first 2 months?

And since he's been a problem, who do you suggest putting in the 2 hole? Becuase I'd not like to remove our 3rd best hitter over the last month from that spot

The mlb doesn't care about strike outs anymore.

I don't miss any of his ABs.

My interest in his success is almost as great as it is for the team at this point.

But, striking out in almost 90% of games played isn't a spell. And no, I don't want him out of the lineup over it, and I like him in the 2 hole.

Bregs' K/BB ratio has always been superb. If I thought he was K'ing more as a result of hitting for power, no "issue". I was also impatient about his 1 for 32 start, so maybe I'm just repeating that over the quality of his ABs?

Apparently Rasmus could return to the lineup tomorrow. He of the 3/66 slump who hasn't played in 3 weeks won't be going on a rehab assignment. I can't help but feel like he'll be an anchor on the lineup.

If you would like to just point it out, then ok.

I don't see it as an issue or a problem given his overall ability to hit the ball.

To me the stat that sticks out more is his BA compared with the rest of the roster, previous and current.
