Going to be, I'd take White over Reed at this point.

And not just because he booted the ball.

Been listening to the games via KBME, and I like them a lot. Easy listen, good information, and also energetic when needed. A lot of mlb radio guys give so little emotion, not our guys.

Yes, White or even Tucker would be a better DH with Valbuena taking over 1B. Worth and Reed should go while Bregman and one of those two should also come with him.

I think this has been a great learning experience for Reed, but we don't have the luxury of letting him get more right now. White and Tucker have MLB experience and better results so let one of them get another crack at it.

I'm glad we're sending guys down based on 49 AB's spread over a month.

It'd be pretty bad if we actually were doing that.

We're sending him down based on scouting report (he has much to work at the plate) and lack of production at AAA and MLB to justify letting a player in need of more development feel things out for weeks.

Reed is our starting first baseman in 2017 so it's not discarding him in the least.

That's a month and 49 opportunities, that is a chance and good experience. We are still in second place for now.

I just don't see how White or Tucker is an upgrade.

Outside of one week for White, they've both been less productive players at this point.

ETA: I take that back, as of this morning Tucker 45WRC+, White (minus his first week), 35WRC+, Reed 43WRC+

Sparks is excellent when interviewed. He answers every question with in-depth analysis. In fact, he's one of the people saying that Reed is not ready and also anxious at the plate.

Both White and Tucker have done better at Triple A and MLB. It's not just 49 at bats. Both have also had extended time already in the big leagues to learn and adjust. They are just ahead of Reed in their development, that's all.

Some veterans need to get a hold of reed in the offseason and get on his arse about getting himself into better shape and increasing his mobility. By all.accounts he's gotten by on talent to this point and has been notably lazy. That won't cut it at this level.

That sounds spot on. He either has to put the stick on the ball more or hit more bombs.

Of all the things you've said, this is absolutely laughable.

When you have the best player in baseball, you don't even have to talk about him. You just enjoy it.

BTW, he's 51 for his last 101 in road at-bats. Absurd.
