With the reaction time of a fly on red bull, D'Angelo can steal the ball faster than Alvin Robertson in his prime!

That Sports Science is something else.

I like when they showed a side-by-side pic with an "average NBA point guard" they chose Jimmer

Why do you think he will underwhelm?

He's got elite athleticism, just short of Westbrook and Rose level.

He's a better floor general than many of today's elite guards when they entered the league.

And he's 6'5" and will get to learn the art of killer hate from one of the two best ever.

Barring injury he will be a multi year all star and with hardwork could be great.

At nearly 20-6-6 as a freshman he was awesome

Just think he'll underwhelm. And that doesn't mean he won't be good. Just that he'll underwhelm as far as what his hype has become.

Seen him compared to Steph everywhere. I don't think a single aspect of his game is on that level. And I think Steph needs every bit of every aspect of his game to be on point to be as successful as he is.

I see Russell as a poor man's Steph and I don't think a poor man's Steph would be all that great.

I have absolutely zero experience or credibility evaluating players btw. And everyone here will tell you that That's just what I think of his game. Think he's overhyped. That's all.

I'm not replying to you more the people comparing him to Curry.

Comparing him to Curry is dumb. He's a better athlete and better floor general. Better rebounder and as good or better ball distributor. That said he will never be the shooter curry is but could be an elite scorer. A better comparison would be Westbrook.

His Stat line as a freshman could be his year two stating in the NBA. I think LA needs to prioritize Love as the desired free agent to clear the middle for Randle and Russell.

I could see Russell turning into a Harden-type player eventually.

I don't see the Harden comparisons at all. I don't think he'll be able to create the separation like Harden.
