He covered the 2003 LSU/Arizona football game in Tucson on TBS if anyone remembers.

He actually kept shifting back and forth between the sidelines and bleachers.

I asked him if covering CFB was torturous given his NBA pedigree!

He was very humble, prayers for a miracle!

Actually he clarified the 3-6 month prognosis

“I’m grateful to HBO for telling my story and I’d like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. I have acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive type of cancer. The typical prognosis is 3-6 months to live, but I would like to stress that is for a patient who is not receiving treatment. Fortunately, I am receiving the best treatment in the world and I remain fully confident I will win this battle.

This is the first I hear of this. Be assured of my prayers for you and your own.

“I don’t think he’ll be mad at me because this is awesome?...During the Milwaukee series in 2013 we went and played golf north of Milwaukee, and one of his buddies from growing up came up from Chicago. It was them, myself and Telly Hughes, the courtside reporter for the Bucks.

“It was one of those days where it was windy and 60 degrees and you could’ve just called it off, especially after living in South Florida — ‘Nah, this is a bad one. Let’s back off.’ And Craig was wearing shorts on this blustery, why-are-we-out-here day.

“Anyway, Craig Sager drank 26 Bud Lights in 18 holes and did not miss a putt. He two-putted maybe six greens, and everything else was in.
