I'd love to know why we (as a civilization) aren't making more progress in finding a cure for cancer. This **** infuriates me.

Here's a good read on why it's difficult. LINK

I hope we can find a cure to most cancers in my lifetime (23 years old) but the complexity of the human body likely will prevent us from it.

Prayers to BraveTiger. The outpouring of support here I'm sure is magnified by those in your life! Keep on

Because there's more money in treatment than a cure. It's simple. And if they die they die.

That was tough to watch. Love me some sager. He looks like he knows this is it compared to his previous interviews about his disease. He looks defeated unfortunately.

I know a cure for cancer is one thing, but why haven't we found out a way to detect this shite before it gets to be to late?

We're constantly getting better an better at detecting cancer. Depending on the type, it's not always clinically apparent early, though.

Really saddened by this news. Not only does this hit Turner, but the entire NBA as well. He and Pop have an awesome friendship, as I'm sure he does many other coaches in the league. He's gotta be the longest tenured sideline reporter in sports right?

Because it comes in many forms, spreads at many different rates, and symptoms vary from cancer to cancer with many showing insignificant symptoms before it's too late
