Have a big board with author standings. Bar opens everyday when lineups are released.

Christ on a cracker. Atlanta builds new stadiums like its going out of style.
Atlanta didn't build Turner Field... it has already been addressed who paid for that stadium.
The dome will be 25 in 2017, that is a pretty standard age for replacement.

IDK why Louisiana fans are so jealous of Atlanta's constant growth and working infrastructure
This is the biggest news in metro Atlanta since they got the Olympics

Jealous? I'm thankful I don't live in Atlanta, getting stuck with the bill for 2 totally unnecessary new stadiums.

as a former resident of the ATL and huge braves fan, I am fine with building a new stadium but hate to see it in the burbs.
I agree that Turner Field is in a crappy area. I wish they had built Turner where Atlantic Station is now. Plenty of room in 1996, right in midtown...would have been great for decades to come.

Atlanta residents aren't footing the bill for a new Falcons stadium. That money is coming from the Hotel/Motel tax. The only people paying that are people staying in hotels in the city of Atlanta.

Well this thread took the inevitable turn for the south. Been fun discussing this with everyone I'll be leaving now.

That would be awesome. I could walk to the stadium in minutes.

Great move for Braves and for city. South of I-20 is a dying/dead area. now if we can get a marta line to run NW we'll be set.

It is much more likely that LSUhoohoo pays more towards the new GA Dome than I do, a resident of Atlanta.

they do, but that's neither here nor there
Posted on 11/11/13 at 10:55 am to TH03
They need a Marta line from Alpharetta to the stadium.

for those who don't know where its located, it will be right across the street from the Boy Scouts of America building, and a block away from The Weather Channel.
I just looked out my office window at where the stadium will be. If that's the case, my traffic won't be as bad for me to get home. Plus, businessman specials!
