Pure speculation but maybe he had a heart attack while out on a Sunday afternoon walk and hasn't been found yet?

Being serious, any history of early onset dementia/Alzheimer's? I would assume HIPPA makes it harder to release info but might be helpful

Clemson board saying his wife passed away a couple of months ago unexpectedly and that he was having a hard time with it.

The loss of a long time spouse can make a person do some crazy and unusual things. I've seen it first hand with my own father.

It's part of the Saban trifecta

1. Fires a Louisiana HS coach who bans him from their school
2. Takes care of the AD of the school that beat him in the national championship game
3. It could be any of us. We've all said bad things about that little man

What happened? This is the first I have heard of this. Where did they find him?

ANDERSON Co., S.C. (WSPA) – The search for a missing Upstate man, who’s a staff member at Clemson University ended sadly.

Anderson County sheriff’s deputies said 60-year-old Bert Henderson was reported missing by family at 3:45 p.m. Monday. He was last seen at his home on West Church Road in Easley.

Volunteers found Henderson dead on land just outside his property, according to Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride.

He said the family has been notified, and a death investigation is underway.

Lt. Sheila Cole with the sheriff’s office said someone received an email from Henderson late Sunday night. That was the last communication anyone had with him.

Cole said they searched through the night with K9 units and by helicopter. They also had mounted search and rescue teams searching the rural area.

“A lot of the property out here is either owned by Mr. Henderson or family members. So the area is very extensive,” said Lt. Cole. “The area we’re dealing with is very rural and so that’s why we have 8 right now, 8 mounted search and rescue members from our CERT team.”

There is just something about older men losing their wives that seems so unnatural and heartbreaking.

Sad story.
