Barry Sanders rushed 2,628 yards and 37 TDs at 7.6 YPC. McCaffrey rushed for 1,847 and 8 TDs at 5.8 YPC.

Sanders had 19 catches for 106 yards. McCaffrey had 42 catches for 540 and 4 TDs.

Sanders returned 10 punts for 94 yards and a TD. McCaffrey returned 14 punts for 67 yards.

Sanders returned 21 kickoffs for 421 yards and 1 TD. McCaffrey returned 36 kickoffs for 1,042 yards and 1 TD.

McCaffrey 3,496 yards to 3,250 for Sanders.

Sanders had 39 total TDs to 13 for McCaffrey.

Despite not being a receiving threat, Sanders had more yards from scrimmage than McCaffrey at 2,734 to 2,387. Sanders averaged 7.5 per play to 6.6 for McCaffrey.

Sanders had less kickoff returns, but the same number of TDs. Sanders actually scored a punt return TD as well.

McCaffrey averaged more per kickoff return at 29.9 to 20. Both are overrated as kickoff returners having only 1 TD per record season. In Sanders day touchbacks equaled the average field position of his returns. McCaffrey's net Stanford 4 yards. Most power 5 kickers can reach the goal line. Especially today.

This looks like a thread that wouldn't have been made by you if not for Derrick Henry being a finalist as well.

McCaffrey has the 2nd most return yards in college football this year.

Insecure much? Everyone knows that Bama fans are trying to skew McCaffrey's stats, so that Henry looks better.

Henry is a better RB and deserves the Doak Walker award. McCaffrey is the most outstanding FB player and is more deserving of the Heisman because of how versatile he is.

Henry is good, but there's no wow factor there. He's just the latest, greatest Bama back, which is very solid, but not necessarily Heisman worthy.

Wasn't it broken in 2 more games than what Herschel did it in?

Since Bowl games did not count Herschel did his in 11 games and Henry had 13, counting the SECCG.

Those are still amazing numbers. However, I don't think Barry had 13 games to amass his record.

I hate Bama, but sorry, Derrick Henry is gonna win the Heisman...

What were the Heisman moments for Watson and McCaffrey in November? Shoot, Fournette had more Heisman moments.

but Henry dominated the LSU game and dominated the Iron Bowl

The SEC rant has ruined the MSB.

Antonio Andrews had the second most in college football history with 3,161 and didn't sniff an invite. So yes, it is way overblown.

What a riveting take! Are you trying to tell me that Barry Sanders is better than Christian McCaffrey? Don't tell me that Timmy Chang is not the GOAT college QB either.

McCaffrey is clearly the Heisman front runner in creating Bama butthurt.

I mean it's December but McCaffrey just had over 400 all purpose yards on USC, with 300 being non-kickoff related
