A lot of uncertainty with the QB position will cause some to under rank LSU

UCLA will flop at the end as usual. Vastly over-rated right now by media folks outside the fold.

I love how everyone outside the Pac suddenly loves UCLA so much and knows so much about who they really are.

A team no longer coached by Rick Neuheisel?

they went 6-8 in his last season, and have gone 9-5 and 10-3 in Mora's first two seasons. They return the best QB in the country in Hundley (yes, I said it) and one of the most exciting dual threat players in Myles Jack. They've got a stacked defense and tons of playmakers. OK, the o-line could sink them, but UCLA has a legit shot of winning the Pac.

Now, I think they are likely still behind Oregon and Stanford, but they are in the conversation. They are easily a top 15 team and I have no problem with them in the top 10. They've got less question marks than South Carolina.

My favorite part about these preseason poll threads (no matter if it's AP/Coaches or football/basketball) is people post teams who they think are overrated but rarely post/can't think of any teams who are underrated. You can't have an unequal amount of teams overrated as underrated. Doesn't work that way.

Alabama has uncertainty at the quarterback position as well.

They are also ranked above a team that beat them in their bowl game last year.

Oklahoma is likely better than they were last year while Bama lost their most important QB in the last 10 years...but yea Bama needs to be #2.

Defending Big 12 champ, won 11 games last year, was #13 in the final poll, another easy schedule, Heisman contending QB...

Can't imagine why they are ranked 10th.

My favorite part is seeing fans get worked up either way about preseason polls.

You are the one who knows very little about UCLA. They are a top notch unit this year. You are a USC fan and hate UCLA its clouding your judgement.

Does 3 straight NOLA bowl wins not vault the Cajuns into the top 25?

True, as well. Especially now that the Coaches doesn't really matter at all. Before you could make a bit of an argument that preseason ranking was important.

Completely agree with this except for Hundley being the best QB in the nation. Got to give it to my man Petty. Hundley is T5 for sure though.
