I heard someone on a national show this morning talking about the growing rift between Lebron and Dan Gilbert. Lebron never completely forgave Gilbert after the comments made when Lebron left Cleveland and that they've had a 'business relationship' during this tenure. Maybe this Love/Melo situation is part of it.

I read an article a few months ago about Love's struggles last year in fitting with the team and his ability to eventually overcome it. He's having a much better year this year and I think is a perfect fit for Cleveland. Melo would bring some good things to the table but has obvious deficiencies and also the possibility of blowing up everything good that Cleveland has built.

Just get a good backup PG and don't mess with the core of the team.

To be clear they win the east with love or Melo IMO. And lose to GSW EASILY with love or Melo.(assuming even average health for GSW) so really the move wouldn't move the needle that much either way.

I agree with that for sure.

The East is awful, and the Cavs are already in the Finals.

As long as there are no injuries or suspensions, (like last year), then GS will hoist another banner.

I would consider bundling Shump and Richard Jefferson for Melo
You would consider it?

Melo has to have the ball to be dominant.
You haven't seen Olympics Melo.

He routinely made the playoffs in a stacked western conference. Don't try to down play his nuggets years

no way, melo is the ultimate me player, he could give ZERO fricks if he ever wins a title, but u better give him the ball, so he can miss that jumper for the win,,,,errr loss.

Doesn't Melo have a no trade clause?

If he's going to allow this trade, he's going to know going into it that he'll be the 3rd option, so it won't be any surprise.

And also, Olympics Melo as the 3rd or 4th option as a spot up shooter is fantastic.

His profanity laced comments the other night made it pretty obvious he has a major rift with upper management.

You could draw conclusions and say this Melo thing is part of it. Certainly not definite, but it would make sense.

Love how one person mentions Olympic Melo and everyone is like yea, if they get Olympic Melo...

You guys realize he sucked this year and shot under 40%? You're talking about a player from 4 and a half years ago that doesn't exist.

He is a liability on defense and they are having a harder time this season covering it up. Lebron is behind this without a doubt, however Melo is the wrong guy. Talking about a black hole on the floor and worst defense.

You couldn't pay me to take Melo, let alone giving up a good player.

If it ain't broke, don't fix??

I saw this yesterday while eating at a restaurant. No sound so I never heard context.

Did the Knicks just assume they'd take a name black guy for a name white guy? Racists!

Knicks should have went full retard and asked for LeBron.
