Continue on with this vague statement.

Pretty self explpanatory. All the talent in the world to go down as the greatest all time but not willing to win titles on his own as the alpha dog.. Just didn't have the heart in him..the Drive..Had to go and join up and make a super friends team.

The Spurs had an all-time great player already in place when Duncan got there and have consistently added high-level talent throughout the years.
Within a few years of drafting him the Bulls added the two best players on a team that won 55 games even without Jordan.
The best the Cavs could do was Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao. They suffered one of the worst drop-offs in NBA history when LeBron left and the only way they've managed to put together anything resembling a decent roster outside of LeBron is by tanking harder than the 76ers.
The situations aren't even comparable.

So who is this guy you speak of that won titles on his own?

Jordan, Dream, countless others have built titles organically with the team that drafted them rather than jumping ship and teamin up with 2 other top 10 players.

So Jordan built that Bulls team? I thought Jerry Krause did.

Hakeem and Duncan are the only ones who are really arguable.
What the hell is organically even supposed to mean? Who cares whether the player or the GM makes the decision to build a team?
Fact of the matter is LeBron was by far the driving force on two championship teams. Wade had one good game the entire '13 playoffs and was a net negative against the Spurs to the point that Jeff Van Gundy questioned whether freaking Mike Miller shouldn't be on the court in his place. Bosh was out for much of the '12 playoffs.
Kobe basically refused to play for the Nets. Magic did refuse to play for the Bulls. How is that any different from what LeBron did?

Lebron would have 0 titles if he didn't join up with a super friends team, and he's the most physcially gifted basketball player. EVER. It's just a disappointment to someone like me who wants to see guys reach their potential.

Making your teammates better, taking the guys you have and mold them into competent pieces on a championship team. Lebron doesn't have a clue about how to do that look at the mess he's made since he's been back in CLE.

Mess? They made the Finals last year, but had bad luck with injuries and ran into a buzz-saw in the Warriors. And LeBron was the only reason the Cavs won games in that series.
This year, they have the best record in the Eastern Conference. Yeah, the Blatt firing wasn't pretty, but that stuff happens in the league.

Magic and Kobe would both have zero titles if they hadn't bitched their way to the most successful franchise in league history. What's your point?

They're on pace to win 58 or 59 games even with their second best player missing nearly half the season and would be the favorite to win the title if not for two all-time great teams being in the other conference. What a mess.

Had they beat GSW last season I would've moved Lebron up to #2 all time, that would've been the greatest finals series win ever IMO. But he could never be GOAT bc he had to skip town to team up with other All NBAers to win a title. And that's a shame I would've loved to have been able to see Jordan in his prime and then Lebron come along and one up him. He had the talent to, it just wasn't meant to be.

You're just making stuff up now. Step away from the keyboard.

Magic and Kobe
FYI Magic isn't GOAT nor is Kobe. Jordan is the GOAT so if Lebron is gonna be GOAT he is compared to Jordan, Not Kobe or Magic. Yea the rules may not seem fair that they apply only to Lebron...guess what Bubba when you wanna be GOAT, the greatest EVER, then a different set of rules absolutely apply.

So basically what you're saying is you can never be wrong because you can always move the goalposts as you see fit.
Gotcha.
Posted on 3/23/16 at 4:58 pm to imraged
I haven't moved the goalposts once, when discussing the greatest of all time a different set of rules applies.

Can we more sports board ban bet that Houston will lose tonight?
Posted on 3/23/16 at 5:04 pm to Boomshockalocka
You ain't influential enough around here for anyone to even notice when you lose, so what do I win? Put your money where your piehole is.

How much better could Jordan make Gooden, Gibson, Pavlovic, Ilgauskas, Varejao, and Hughes.
Of that list I think Ilgauskas and Hughes were the only players remotely close to a solid starter.

Firing Blatt and trading the future for a win-now team, questionable. But you ignore that him rejoining them alone made Cleveland into the favorite to come out of the east as well as the 2nd best team to SA (of course before GSW came out). We're not just talking fringe playoff team, we're talking the best team in the east and arguably 2nd best team in the league. This is the same team that went 33-49 the year before and went from a 61-21 team to 19-63 after he left.
