Plus Cam throwing an INT and fumbling twice.

Yeah, Cam played like shite.

You aren't trolling me by saying he fricked up, I was arguing with people on the Auburn board, saying the point differential from his frickups was the game.

Pretty much what I said in another thread

quote:

I thought he was just avoiding getting his ankles demolished, which is a natural reaction to a few 300 lb guys diving at your feet. Yeah he could've dove head first, but the way he was approaching the ball feet first wasn't an optimal position for that. It seemed like a natural jump back, and looks ...

Everyone saying he was in a perfect position to get the ball must not do anything athletic. He is basically hopping forward feet first. The natural reaction when people are jumping at your ankles is to hop back. In order to dive headfirst he would've had to land feet first, probably got his ankles hit, then dove down.

I really don't blame him, and I don't really like Cam.

I have a gif of him avoiding contact on a pick six. Do you have objective proof to back up your claim?

At that point

a) The turnover has already happened
b) It's likely not the super bowl with the game on the line (what was the score to the game you posted the gif of?)
c) There are likely more games to be played in that season, so you don't want your QB getting laid out
d) There is less likelihood that Brady makes that play than there was that Cam could recover his fumble
etc
etc

He basically admitted straight up that he didn't go after it because he was being a pussy in the super bowl. Hell, I'd almost be ok with it if it was someone else that fumbled the game away, but it was his damn fumble!

"I don't dive on 1 fumble because the way my leg was-- it could have been (contorted) in a way. OK, you say my effort. I didn't dive down. I fumbled. That's fine. But we didn't lose that game because of that fumble. I can tell you that" -- Cam

Hard to believe that was the case considering how he's played his entire career. But the guy said it so screw him if that's really the reason he didn't fall on it. Lots of guys laid it out all out there (Thomas Davis 2 weeks post op plate in his arm) and they deserved everything he had. I'm grateful for both his and Shula's efforts all season but they both sucked majorly in the biggest game of the year. No excuse for that. If you're a professional you act like it.

I hope he gets his act together, learns from this, matures, and comes out swinging next year.

More circumstantial excuses that are OK for Brady but not Cam.

I don't buy that. He should just stop talking for now... If he hadn't acted like a pansy the other day at the presser he wouldn't have to be looking more foolish now.

Brady wouldn't have had to make excuses. He would've dove for the ball.

So you're taking the position that the situations and meaning of the play from the SB and the Brady gif you posted makes it an apples to apples comparison?

If so, then the discussion just needs to stop because you're reaching so far your damn arms have ripped off your body.

What happened in the game is important.

A pissed off guy walking out of a presser? Done a million times by other players and coaches in all sports and is meaningless so why keep bringing it up?

Cam has a crazy new skill set that scares everyone though. Brady just doesn't have the skill set to get that ball so why would he bother?

Highly doubt that happens. He's really good, and his team is really good. He's cocky and believes all criticism is just jealous haters or something. He's got an entourage and two legions of fans telling him the same thing.

He does care about attention and clearly wants to be loved more than anything, as long as he is still getting that he's not gonna change. The only way for him to change is if the people near him start turning against his actions and trying to get through to him. Again can't see that happening, look at all the people still defending him.

its just because of how controversial of a personality Cam is. People hate him for a plethora of reasons and his latest comments before the SB make it easy and satisfying to rag on him for acting like a bitch.

What I said in my original post that people keep getting upset about but agreeing with in a roundabout way

but I also can't help but think if that was some more frail QB like brady or brees, this wouldn't be half the news story it is.

I think it would just as bad if not worse. People really hate Brady and would love to see him bitch out. I don't get where you're coming from at all.

To be fsir cam doesn't owe anyone shite. But again if he had no problem stepping up to the mic when things were going great he should be able to take the heat like a man. He failed at that . He acted like baby.

Yeah I won't disagree with you there. I mean it's just my opinion but I mean he could've handled it better.

He should' ve been more aware up there. Some where in the back of his mind he had to know he was making it worse on himself.

I am just trying to poke a little fun a Cam, not make up hypothetical situations then argue about them when people call me out.
