If they are selling off all of their assets for a rebuild right now with several years left on Davis' contract and without even trying to play this season to see what they have with the team that they have currently put together then they aren't even pretending to try and the franchise might as well not even exist. If they are to even entertain trading Cousins then they have to get back some significant and appropriate current assets that help them compete and be a playoff team now.

This whole thing is super silly.

well its not going to happen with Boogie and AD and crap. By the time you rebuild, it will be time for AD to be a free agent

I know the haters in this thread are really enjoying this, but this tweet was debunked a long time ago:

Cousins is absolutely better than Irving.

Yea, Fletcher Mackel really "debunked" that one.

No need to be an a-hole... it's stupid that anyone is even entertaining the idea that this random Twitter guy is any sort of reliable source, I shouldn't even need to ...

Yea.

Because we all remember that time Boogie went toe to toe with the best team in the league and hit an absolute dagger to win a Championship.

My guy has more All-Stars, more Championships, is at a position that's dramatically more important in today's NBA, AND he's two years younger.

Take a lap.

Don't piss in their parade man. Im really enjoying everyone thinking a team should back 20 Brinks trucks full of cash up to the smoothie for fricking boogie cousins

They're in the same tier for me. Stupidly talented players who don't put it all together consistently.

Irving has obviously proven more, but playing with LeBron is helpful. Cousins may have a higher ceiling, but has the lower floor too.

Prove it year for both guys.

That trade proposal is truly absurd.

In Flaggs defense the Pels (for better or worse) are all in on Boogie. Moving him at this point would take a big, insane offer (that no one is going to make).

Lol, I'm not taking this bait.

Cousins has finished ahead of Irving in nearly every advanced metric 3 seasons in a row, they are very different players arguably on the same tier but anyone arguing one is clearly better than the other stretching it.

A simple look at SI's top 100 NBA players list before last season (after Kyrie's 2016 Finals) has Cousin's as 12th and Kyrie 25th.

It is Fletcher, who may or may not be the biggest bitch in all media, but cousins for a lottery first and scraps is ridiculously laughable

Literally every Pels reporter has come out laughing at this "rumor".

It's ludicrous and completely made up. Not a shred of truth to it whatsoever.

To be fair, it's not just a lottery pick. It's potentially the #1 overall pick in the 2018 draft.

FYI: now the rumor is that the Cavs are "calling and taking calls" to many teams on the Nets pick.

So they called the Pels and a bunch of other teams.
