The Panthers defense falling off a cliff

The Cowboys defense full of nobodies and cast offs ranking 8th in points allowed

Matty Ice being the front runner for NFL MVP

The Arizona Cardinals going from arguably the best coached team in the league to one near the bottom of the league in turnovers, penalties and dropped passes

Carson Wentz/Dak Prescott playing like legit top-10 QBs from jump street

The Minnesota Vikings, despite all the injuries, being arguably the best team in the league

Who do you have right now? I think Ryan and Derek Carr are the two leading candidates right now, with Ryan having a statistical edge.

This is both a surprise and the one that seems least likely to continue, particularly if history is to be our guide.

Is he even the MVP on his own team?

It be interesting to see what a WR would have to do to actually get it

Right now it's Derek Carr, Matt Ryan and Big Ben with Ezekial Elliot coming on strong. If current trends continue and Oakland, Atlanta and Dallas make the playoffs the top three in voting will quite possibly be Ryan, Zeke and Carr.

Julio had 1 catch against Denver and 1 catch against the Saints. Yeah he had a 300 yard game in between but you don't give an MVP to a receiver who has bad games like that.

And I realize the success of the Falcons offense vs the Broncos and the Saints is because they focus so much on locking down Julio that the backs can get some action, but there's no way Julio is MVP

Ezekiel Elliot is an mvp dark horse. He may go for 2000 as a rookie

who has a better case for MVP over Ryan? If he isnt the frontrunner he is runner up to Big Ben. David Johnson would be 3rd

Ryan leads the NFL in QB rating by a large margin

Elliot is on pace for nearly 1800 yards and 15 TDs, if Dallas makes the playoffs those numbers might get it. If he continues at his pace over the last three games, he'll threaten the single season rushing record and record 18-20 TDs.

not saying he deserves it, but that OL has been playing balls to the wall. He gets 3 yards so easily without getting touched.

117 carries and has broken 7 tackles, that means he's getting clean blocks all over.

If Brady keeps it up, he's going to be in the running too even with only playing 12 games.

Von Miller and Alexander are on pace for something like 20 sacks as well.

Carr hasn't played a serious defense yet all season, but he's gonna have denver who will test him but the rest of the schedule looks ripe for him to play like he has been.

Lets not forget Le'Veon Bell either:
2 games 210 rushing yards, 122 receiving yards. Even missing 3 games at that pace he's going for 1365 rushing yards, 793 receiving yards. That offense is completely different with him

I saw one play vs cincy where he's running to the left and he had 3 blockers in front of him. Dude is good but he couldn't be running wild playing for the Rams.
