Bigger sporting achievement...winning Super Bowl or World Series?

Kind of feel like World Series champion > Super Bowl champion.

Not sure if it is the 162 game regular season. Not sure if it is having to win 3 of 5 in a divisional series, 4 of 7 in a championship series, and then 4 of 7 in a World Series.

But, having experienced the Super Bowl run with the Saints, and now the World Series run with the Astros, feeling like this is a bigger deal.

Thoughts/opinions?

Probably WS. It feels like hardly any teams make the playoffs in baseball. It sure isn't easy to accomplish either task.

IMO, world series >> superbowl, but I also like baseball a lot more than football.

World series unless you spend an absurd amount of money like NY, LA, Boston. Then it's not that impressive

World series. There are alot more athletes/personnel/scouts involved with a baseball franchise than there is with an NFL franchise. I think you have to have a much more complete team to win a WS than a super bowl. I know a true ace pitcher is a a rare gem, but I think the QB position is the most important/difficult position in all of sports and if you have a franchise qb, you have a shot every yr.

Definitely a Super Bowl and I say that as a much bigger fan of MLB than NFL. Only championship in team sports that matches up to a Super Bowl is winning the Champions League in soccer.

World Series because you still have to play in a hostile environment. You also don't have your "ace" for every game

While the Super Bowl is without question the bigger stand alone event, winning a World Series as a team is a bigger accomplishment

I'd include the World Cup and Stanley Cup.

Winning the Champions League is more impressive than either

Why is that? Is their more talent in soccer than in football or baseball? Idk because I only watch the world cup. How is the parody in pro soccer

To start with, it's a 2 year process.

World Cup is certainly more impressive but it takes place every four years. It's not really an apples to oranges comparison. I would agree that the Stanley Cup is up there in recent times. There's only been one repeat champion in the last 20 years. It's really difficult to win a Stanley Cup.

Super Bowl is THE championship in US sports. Only one game. Usually filled with best players in the sport playing. The entire country watches. When players careers end especially QBs, not playing in or winning a Super Bowl is one of the first things they will always bring up to discredit a career. Baseball is not really like that. It is more numbers driven at end of career and not about winning. A lot of the all time players in recent years never won one. WS rarely has best players in it.

Super Bowl is just way more important to a players legacy. That's the bottom line.

And that's dumb.
