Where is the 18th team Air Force? Am I missing something?
My list from the 18:
Colorado State
Air Force
BYU
Tulane

I'd rather see LA Tech than ULL. There's no market for sure but at least Tech seems to have their act together and are making improvements all over campus. I'm sure the Big XII-2 would make them take a bowl invite though

I'll take
Colorado State
Memphis
South Florida
Central Florida

Tulane and Cincinatti both are contenders as well with Tulane being #6 in my book.

BYU has NO shot - religion gets them OUT of the conversation
Boise St. - I don't see it. Too remote/small
Houston-Texas won't allow it - PERIOD

The rest- not worth mentioning realistically imo

That doesn't leave much opportunity for ULL, who is joined at the hip to ULM (as is Tech is to some extent).

bullshite! How is Tech even remotely tied to ULM?....besides being close to each other. Yes, both Lafayette & Monroe campii are one in the same

Tech has no market to claim as its own. It has to share the small one in Monroe with ULM, and of course it is probably third or fourth in Shreveport-Bossier.

Neither is Arkansas State.

The only scenario I can see that happening is if they take "junior members" who only get a 50% payout over 20 years compared to the big dogs. That would be a windfall for a program like Arkansas State. And they'd rarely win.

This is the correct answer if they expand at all.

Wow those are the choices for the Big 12. Man I bet people in Louisiana would be pissed if Tulane went to a power 5. Hope they get Tulane.

They would be a doormat for the conference.

I think they'd be able to build a program if they went to the Big 12. Good chance to pick up a lot of Texas recruits. More TV exposure, more money, etc.

Junior Members? Like West Virginia and TCU who don't get their full payouts until this season? (Year 5)

Now you're just being stupid....but good luck playing your rival Monroe Campus this year. Should be epic

Geography aside, i think UConn is in a top 30 media market, and the only major state school left that has any athletic prowess. Quickly rising academic school and their stadium has pilings in place to expand to 55k quickly. Probably wont happen, but Uconn and Cincinnati make the most sense outside of the distance factor.

They should add BYU, Houston, UCF, and USF. Florida and Texas are two of the three biggest states and those schools along with BYU are in major markets with large enrollments and large alumni.

ULL is not even the most popular college team in Lafayette. LSU has more fans in Lafayette than ULL. Cincinnati is just as retarded in that they are not even the most popular team in their own town.

Did someone that went to ULL steal your old lady from you???
You sure are a little angry fricker when you talk about ULL. Especially since you constantly want to talk about them..... Even when no one else really is.
Get over yourself

*Stricly speaking of Louisiana schools

-ULL needs to stay consistent in football but there is no denying the improvements they are making to their sports complexes. Not to mention having a consistent top 25 baseball program with no sign of slowing down.
-Tulane needs more support. Their only avdvantage it being located in NOLA. That is it. Their alumni is so spread out across the country it's difficult to get attendance up.
-La Tech is doing good things but they are the opposite of Tulane. Their location is just awful. If they were in Shreveport they would have a much better shot at moving up conferences. I think it would be a much more popular school if it weren't in Ruston

Urban Meyer issued a statement endorsing Cincinnati to be invited to the Big 12. This could be a huge endorsement and good sign for Cincinnati moving forward. Most people believed this would never happen from anybody at Ohio State. Honestly, this move is smart because what it potentially does is weaken Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan St....especially Notre Dame! Cincinnati has a huge catholic population and follows Notre Dame very closely.

Nah, just get tired of the inferiority complex from all the ULL fans I know. They all think they are hot shite.

By the way, when have I talked about ULL when no one else wants to or is? I am not the one that brought them up in this thread.
