mclemore is gonna be a serviceable nba player for a while. double digit scorer and that's probably it. he is playing a little better right now. plus he's on the fricking kings so that kinda blows.

Surprisingly good defensively. He held John Wall to 4 points when we played them and Conley was out.

He couldn't if he wanted to. He is sort of in that balding-denial stage currently.

I can see him being an inefficient player who puts up decent numbers on too many shots. If he improves his D, that would go a long way for him, too.
Of the potential flops, he's the one I have the most hope for.

MCW clearly had the best rookie season.
I like Oladipo, Dieng, Burke, and presumably Noel should be good.

FWIW I met MCW during the All Star weekend in Nola the dude is rail thin but taller than I expected and looks like he's 15 up close
He also like incredibly shy but that's besides the point...if he gets bigger (he obviously will) but like a lot bigger he will be really good
I mean if he played at a high level at that size I can't imagine what he'll be like when he grows

Yea I agree with that assessment of Mclemore.
What does everyone think about Caldwell Poe?

Sadly got drafted by one of the more poorly run franchises in the NBA right now, but I think he can be a very solid 3&D type of guy throughout his career. Great athleticism.

Giannis is going to be crazy good.
I think Burke develops into a very solid PG.
This. Minnesota's big rotation is something serious with his development.
I wouldn't count out Shabazz this early either, especially with him having very little pressure on him in Minnesota and surrounding by Love, Pekovic, and Rubio where he isn't being pressed to be The Guy right now.

I'm basically required to cheer for him now.

I like Burke. But I think hes more like a DJ Augustin type player. Better suited as a backup PG / off the bench scorer than a full time starting PG. Due to size, they are defensive liabilities. And look to shoot more than pass.
And thats not a knock on Burke at all. Backup PG / scorer off the bench is evolving into a very important position. You can carve out a great career doing that. Look at what DJ has done this year with Chicago. Hes huge for them. But I just dont think Burke develops into a top 20 or so PG. Especially in the West where 12 out of the 15 teams have really really good PGs like Westbrook, Parker, Curry, CP3, Jrue Holiday, Lawson, Lillard, Monte Ellis, Dragic / Bledsoe, Mike Conley Jr, etc.

Speaking of Calathes, anyone see him get crossed up by Lawson last night?

He's been solid this year and if he keeps improving like he's doing this year, just maybe in 5 years he'll be able to play.

Easily Giannis. Dude has the potential to be a taller version of KD. He is only 19 and has a lot of improvement to do but his potential is very high. While his scoring is not a polished as KD's was at age 19, IMO Giannis' playmaking potential is higher than KD. The dude has unbelievable passing skills and vision for his age. I'm not joking but Giannis has the potential to be a LBJ/KD clone in hybrid style, skills, and talent.
Floor: Paul George talent
Ceiling: Best player in the league and one of the best in history
This question is not even close, easily Giannis. This question literally is like someone asking if LeBron or Durant were the best players of their year's draft.
Giannis won't win ROY though.

I also think Mason Plumlee has a lot of potential to become a good player in the league. Hes my darkhorse. Great size with elite athletic ability for a C.
What the f sort of deer antler spray did this cat take in the offseason? I watched him play for years at Duke and he never did the kind of shite he is doing since making it to the NBA. He looks like he could have a nice career as a poor man's Tyson Chandler. Dude is looking awesome on defense and on the pick and roll.
