dude, try to keep up. You are talking about one period in one sport. I am talking about the big picture female enrollment in the entire school and participation in girl's athletics year after year.

So what if they can compete in 5A softball for a few years but they get destroyed in volleyball, basketball and everything else they would play in 5A. A school with 2A enrollment competing in all female sports would be an overall negative and could potentially hinder female enrollment numbers. So why take the chance?

Evangel competing in 5A almost destroyed their girl's athletics program. outside of some really shady recruiting for a few years of girl's basketball bringing in a few top flight players ECA struggled across the board with girl's athletics
