I'm not trying to be a dick, but how in the world do you know what Saban is doing? Are you picking up terminology and coverage details from TV broadcasts?

I see this all the time in coach analysis threads. No one knows what the hell they're talking about, on both sides of the discussion.

Gus Malzahn understands enough to hang 34 and 44 on Nick Saban's defense in back to back years with a defensive back at quarterback.

One of his old playbooks is online in PDF format. There's a book called "the art of football" that goes into it, and then there's public testimony from people like Bill Beleichik and former players that went on to the NFL.

I'm not salty about anyone worshipping a football coach.

I don't know what he is doing at all but how the frick would anyone be doing something in regards to football that other high level people "could not even comprehend"? I'm sorry but that is such fricking hyperbole. Like saban sits down and explains a defensive scheme and Mark richt is like "WHAAAAAAT!?!?!? You can't do that....how...oh my god call nasa!!"

The former LSU DB used to discuss it in interviews all the time

Example

They use Cities as coverages
States as who is blitzing

Then you have to wait on the Will to give a food (hotdog) call or drink (Budweiser) call to see if you're still in it

Then at Half they change the calls to objects and animals

It is confusing to everyone

It's impressive that Ryan has people going to bat for him like that.

Except Les Miles

Saban - "See all we're doing here is putting 9 men in the box"

Les - "Soo..."

Saban - "So you wouldn't want to run directly into this"

Les - "Youre fricking with me"

It seems as though Scott has reading comprehension problems. No where did Dareus claim it was too much detail for him personally. Yet, Bart flies off the handle about a comment made concerning a system that he was last in in 2012.

Sweet melt, Bart.

It's amazing how they all think they're football smart and basically coaches because Saban is the Bama coach.

Bama fans in general have more football knowledge than other fanbases.

It's been that way since way before Saban. Hands down the most knowledgeable fanbase imo.

Getting to me? The proof is in the pudding, Bama plays in their third consecutive playoff tomorrow on the back of another great defense

You all choosing not to accept his superiority on that side of the ball isn't going to get the game cancelled, it just makes you sound like retards. If you wanna talk ball I'm all ears sally
