I think he was talking about the Birds/Camthers game. Falcon fans did get a little squirrely afterwards.

Ohhhh. I don't know what the hell I was thinking of tbh

Vine City (west of Northside Drive) is pretty crappy, but improving. The area east of the Dome (Downtown) is fine. Even the area around the Ted (Summerhill) will blow up once GSU starts building out its southern campus extension.

There is no question that Vine City and English Avenue are terrible neighborhoods. That said, we constantly go out and hang out in the Marietta Street Artery, as do most other 20 and 30 somethings on the west side. It is basically a weak armed throw from English Avenue, and yet, we never actually go into those areas, and never really think about them even being there. They're pretty well contained.

The city and local businesses are also pushing to bring life to the area, which is a fools errand, but noteworthy. Putting a Chickfila in Vine City is not going to change the area unless it simply pushes out the current residents and causes gentrification, but it's a start.

Come on, it's Atlanta, it has no real character. Atlanta fans suck and the city is a mess. My only regret was that Sherman did not burn the place down. Because if he had done it, the place would have stayed BURNED.

Congrats on the Super Bowl

Pure ignorance, likely from someone who's never been to Atlanta.

Hopefully the generic SB logo is gone by then and they go with something like this.

Is the Falcons new stadium going to be grass or junk fake turf?

What do you expect from a bunch of simple minded people that base their views off a football team?

Seems like the rotoworld guys seem to agree that New Orleans is a good place to have the Super Bowl:

The league has awarded the 2019-21 Super Bowls to Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles, respectively. Atlanta and its new stadium beat out New Orleans for the right to host Super Bowl LIII. In our opinion, any decision that involves not playing a Super Bowl in New Orleans is a poor one. Miami and Los Angeles were the heavy favorites for the next two games. Rams owner Stan Kroenke continues to get his way after his years-long, and league-approved, plan to move his team from St. Louis.

New stadiums = getting a SB bid. The Superdome is becoming obsolete

Atlanta deserved it over New Orleans, IMO.

They have a brand new stadium,

This is true

which will be one of the nicest in the NFL,

and will also be the nicest chineese restaurant in the NFL.

and they pay the power bill.

It is not NOLA's fault that the FEMA check bounced.

Good, international city with state of the art facility, unlike that slum New Orleans.

How about this: NOLA gets the superbowl every year as long as their franchise moves to a different city?

Let's piss off both groups.

NOLA is a much better event city than ATL and it is not close
ATL is a much better place to raise a family
