With the flagrant foul rules in today's game, Jordan could get to the rim anytime he wanted without any fear of injury.
Yet, during Jordan's Chicago career teams shot 2.27 more free throws per FGA attempt, we're called for more fouls per possession, and awarded more free throws per possession.

So a "rougher" game resulted in more free throws and fouls, as it should.

he first three years with Horace Grant arguably has the greatest "big 3" ever assembled

No way.

Celtics: Bird, McHale, Parish
Lakers: Magic, Kareem, Worthy
Sixers: Dr J, Moses, Cheeks
Lakers: Shaq, Kobe, Glen Rice
Spurs: Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Robinson

Horace was a fine player, but let's not make him more than he was. Also, to give Jordan credit, this was in an era in which big men dominated, and the thought you could win without a top tier center was alien. He really did usher in change in how the game was played.

I like LeBron better, but Jordan has a pretty damn solid case for GOAT.

It's irrelevant, all that matters is his play on the court imo.

I think Lebron's legacy will change once he retires and people look back and reflect on his entire career and what he accomplished and all the records he set.
In 30 years he'll be the same untouchable legend that MJ is.

Also, is Lebron keeps this shite up, he'll eventually play for long enough that it'd be really hard to rationally say you'd draft MJ over Lebron given the chance.

To me Buckeye06 all that jargon is just semantics.

As a pure basketball player, who is better?

The only thing keeping me from saying Lebron isn't the best ever is his sorry outside shooting and free-throw percentage. He has limits and teams have taken advantage (notoriety of San Antonio series a few times and Mavericks). Jordan had no limits offensively. He was an offensive wizard. His athleticism and fundamentals off the charts and one of the best post-up players of all-time.

If Lebron had better outside percentage and free-throw he would be best ever.

After he wins 6 rings and dominates a league for 10 plus years. Not even close yet. Will get worse after GS beats that arse in June.

If prime MJ and prime LBJ played concurrently in either era, LBJ would be the player you're more concerned about.

As annoying as LeBron fan boys are
After last year's finals the majority of humans on earth said, "ok ok ok, he's legitimately great."

Are us nut huggers really that annoying for simply trying to explain to the Neanderthal James haters that he's been great for years and years?

Well the Heat's best regular season win total with LeBron was 66 games in 2013-2013.

Cleveland was close to that, with 64 wins in 2012-2013......if you include the win totals from the previous 2 seasons as well.

What are you laughing about? It's in the stats, look it up yourself. Lebron's FG% and 3pt% is higher than MJ's
