I don't know how I feel about it...

I don't think he makes it myself, but I could see how an argument could be made. He was a top 5 QB in the NFL for over a decade. Not many Qbs have done that and this is from a Redskins fan.

No. I would go with top 8.

He did soooooo much in the regular season. That doesn't warrant HOF. He's basically Donovan McNabb......but he made it to a super bowl.

I like Romo, but considering how the game has changed, many of the potential HOFers of this era are going to have better stats than the QBs already in Canton.

His statistical comps need to weigh favorably against his peers, not guys who played in previous decades. Romo was a 2nd-team All-Pro once.

He was, at worst, the 1st or 2nd guy in tier 2 for quite a while.

Brees/Brady/Rodgers/Manning were tier 1

And Rivers or Romo could almost be in tier 2 alone as the rest of the dudes behind them are clearly inferior IMO.

Unless I'm forgetting someone...

That's fair. His averages over his career put him between 6 and 7.

He was not a top 5 qb in the NFL for a decade. Hell he didn't play 10 full seasons as a starter
