Foster's prime is behind him. His moment in the spotlight is waning and he knows it. Why Houston gave him that size of a contract last year is beyond me

This.

Foster has always struck me as one of those Ochocinco type guys who's more concerned with acting weird and being a celebrity and using it as a way to compensate for diminishing skills.

most of the questions they ask are stupid, redundant, or no-win if you answer them.

"So what was going through your mind as you missed the tackle that allowed the game winning score?"

"What kind of emotions are you feeling right now, after such a devastating loss?"

"Bode, do you think your dead brother would be proud of you right now? Your brother, the dead one, would he have wanted this medal for you? Do you miss your dead brother, Bode?"

you don't have to feel sorry for anyone but IMO it is funny when they treat the media like they are treated.

most of the questions they ask are stupid, redundant, or no-win if you answer them. answering them like he did today actually gave them a story to run with... so long as you forget other (better liked) coaches and athletes do exactly the same thing

While I think Foster is a bit of a prick, I totally agree with this.

Sports journalists are some of the laziest, most redundant, least intelligent people on earth. I die inside every time I hear some idiot start sentences off with "talk about..." which is absolutely the laziest way to phrase a question.

I can't begin to tell you the number of times I've heard local sports guys doing interviews after Hog games essentially say "talk about the game, give us your thoughts on how it went."

Yeah, I'd definitely add this one to "talk about..." as torch-bearers for the stupid question movement.

Yeah, these people are just doing their jobs and he is sort of disrespecting them. You get a zillion dollars, I think you can answer a number of questions.

But again I'm not anal.. I think he could have been more funny if this was the right he was going to take. I'm kinda torn here on how to feel.

wait, are we talking about the athlete or the reporter? because most of the time the disrespect directed at the athletes is a lot more unfair, constant, and personal

I don't get why people are calling him a douche.

I thought it was funny.
These questions are hardly life and death.

Are they(the reporters) paying him the "zillion dollars"? They aren't doing him any favors (actually probably quite the opposite), why should he do them a favor?

This. He didn't want to talk to them. He can't tell them that without lining the leagues pocket so he answered without telling them anything.

They were stupid arse questions anyway. Dafuq cares why he didn't practice earlier? Was he out there today? K there you go. That's all that's relavent.

I find it impressive that he didn't even flinch or smile at any point during his troll.
