Anyone else surprised when you read that TMac played 15 years?

I guess he did retire young, being that he came out of high school, but I thought that he played 10-12 yrs tops

Eh, he wasn't really "playing" in the last few years. I don't believe he ever hit a shot for the Spurs his last year.

I was really hoping Spurs could have won him a ring though. Damn ray Allen

I always had the impression that T-Mac loved TMac more than he could ever love a ring.

Him and Carter are two guys who will go down as such high potential yet didn't get far.

no way on Carter. He's had a very good career. When his insane athleticism started slipping he really worked on his shot to stay relevant in the league. Not everybody is lebron James.

TMac at the end of his career was a very different person than early TMac.

he was unreal in '03. his efficiency took a nosedive after that season though.

32/6.5/5.5 on 46/39/79 while half asleep.

We Rockets fans have mixed feelings on TMac. He was a great player but his will to win was questionable.

The all-time low was in 2009 against Toronto when he quit on his team.

You can google it.

Tmac played at a time when so many guys went from great to either bad or disappeared seemingly over night-

Steve Francis
Baron Davis
Starbury
Iverson
Gilbert Arenas

They were all star level players that completely fell of the map. Kudos to tmac, who although didn't have the longevity of Kobe, at least outlasted all these guys.
