I remember last year around this time, someone posted a thread asking of Paul Johnson was going to make it through the season without getting fired because he was over his head. I would probably be willing to bet there was anothersimilar thread that saying the same thing about Johnson the year before. Maybe even before that. An ACC Coastal Championship, an ACC Championship Game, and an Orange Bowl rout later, that thread was some good reading.

With that said, how does GT fair in 2015? A Davy OBrien award nominated QB.

I'm going to get it out of the way....Johnsons teams are never a threat with that offense. That offense will never work in today's game. Johnson probably won't last much longer at GT.

Here's GTs 2015 schedule. Thoughts?

Sep 3 ALCN
Sep 12 TULN
Sep 19 @ND
Sep 26 @DUKE
Oct 3 UNC
Oct 10 @CLEM
Oct 17 PITT
Oct 24 FSU
Oct 31 @UVA
Nov 12 VT
Nov 21 @MIA
Nov 28 UGA

I think they'll win the division again but lose a rematch in the ACCCG.

They lost 37-35 to Florida State in the ACC Championship. Exactly how much more of a threat would they like them to be?

ETA: Not you.

Your typos gave me cancer. The fact that your post is edited is alarming.

GT doesn't expect much more than they're getting. Beating UGA every 4-5 years or so, couple division titles, win 10 games here and there.

Are they a good enough team for Clemson to rout or are they a bad enough team for Clemson to Clemson against?

There are expectations this season, so I think they are going to struggle compared to last season. But that QB is good and their defense should be better. 8-4

They have arguably the best QB at running the system they have ever had. It's about the defense imo. They have been very average the past few years.

Johnson's FBS records:

2-10
8-5
10-2
8-4
9-4
8-4
9-4
10-3
6-7
8-5
7-7
7-6
11-3

Total - 103-64 over 13 seasons, Average of 7.92 wins, 4.92 losses

So yeah, typical Paul Johnson results would be 8-5.

They'll win their division and if Clemson makes it I want no part of a rematch with them in the ACCCG.
