since 1991 they've beaten us 5 times. 2 of those times were vacated due to cheating.

tech has averaged winning 3 wins per decade against us over the entire 120+ year history of the series.

They have arguably the best QB at running the system they have ever had. It's about the defense imo. They have been very average the past few years.

...and I've seen Johnsons offense with an amazing QB. Since he got to I-A, I never thought he had one that was good enough to match the numbers he put up at GS. Now that he's got one that's only going to get better, I think their offense is capable of putting up ridiculous numbers.

Thats pretty bold.

I think they can beat Florida St. thus year, but it's Clemson that I see the problem. I think DeShaun Watson is a future Heisman candidate

7-5, typical Paul Johnson results

Your kidding right? The only two of those on the road are @ ND and @ Clemson.

They beat UGA last year and gave FSU all it could handle. I wouldn't be surprised if they went 3-2, even 4-1 vs those 5.

EDIT: I hope they stomp the shite out of Notre Dame.

They squeaked out a win verse UGA. I don't think it's out of the question to say UGA will probably win.

I don't think it's out of the question that GT wins.

It's not out of the question to think tech wins. I think it's at least 75-25 in favor of UGA.

Depends on our defense more than anything. We showed signs of a functioning D towards the latter part of the season but it was a train wreck early on.

Schedule is the hardest one we have had in probably 5 years. I think there is a good chance we have a better team than last years but end up at 8-9 wins.

Yeah I don't know what he is referring to. Only win I know of being vacated was the acccg against Clemson but that is such a joke.

I think he's referring to 99 and 00 but either nothing was vacated or GT successfully appealed (ala Oklahoma in 05).

Yeah did some research and they won the appeal, no games were vacated.

What cheating was allegedly going on?

During an NCAA investigation after he had left Georgia Tech and Chan Gailey was the head coach, it was revealed that the Georgia Tech football program used ineligible players while O'Leary was head coach. These infractions were due to the deficiencies in the school's academic administration who had incorrectly accounted for student-athletes' credit hours and were not attributed to O'Leary or his staff. The initial requirement that Georgia Tech vacate the performances of the football team for games in which these ineligible players participated was overturned on appeal. Further, Georgia Tech was placed on probation and lost scholarships because of the violations.
