Pretty much the summer.

Lebron's the decision was the highest rated prime time programming on ESPN in years. Ill try to find the story on it. But it gives you an idea on how much espn needs to do in order to hype up summer sports.

Don't get me wrong I love watching baseball, but I'd much rather also be able to watch some basketball or football as well. It's more of not having options, than not wanting to watch baseball

Great players team up together? How is that any different than in the past?

And the NBA is awesome right now. So many good young players.

Yeah, I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a single inning of baseball. Non World Cup summers are the fricking worst.

What I've learned in this thread: I'm the only maniac that not only watches, but looks forward to, the 150 baseball games I'm about to start watching in a couple if weeks. All 9 innings. Lapping that shite up.

I also watch nearly all 162 games and when I'm not watching I'm usually listening on the radio.

My only complaint is that the expanded playoffs have took some of the importance of the regular season. It won't ever happen, but I would like to see a return to 2 teams in each league making the playoffs. I remember when the Giants won 103 games and missed the playoffs in 1993. You won't ever see that with the two wild cards.

worst time of year for me this year is after the NCG for college football, when the Saints have no Super Bowl Shot

the LSU basketball team has no NCAA tourney shot

Hornets have no post season shot

and LSU baseball hadn't started yet

so pretty much from the time LSU basketball started SEC play until about last weekend was the worst time of year for me

Next worst time will be when the CWS is over

Not even close. There are plenty of big sporting events in July and early August. There's the World Cup or Summer Olympics every two years, Wimbledon, British Open and PGA Championship just to name a few. In February, we have nothing to watch except for NBA and NHL regular season games and maybe the Daytona 500. It's a very barren month for sports.

I don't know why the NBA always starts their season around Halloween instead of Christmas day. Nobody really cares about the NBA for the first three months because it coincides with the NFL and college football. Why not start and end the season on a later date?

You can say that every year.IMO make them play two years of college and it would be even BETTER.

Literally, nothing to watch after the last NBA finals game until September other than the big gold tourneys. But those are few and far between

Don't care at all about the World Cup and the last 4 summer Olympics and the upcoming Olympics started after NFL training camps.
