Crazy... but college basketball makes college football look wholesome and clean by comparison

Yep. The shoe companies being involved is no surprise either.

Interested to hear the details of this.

Bruce Pearl is crooked? I'm shocked.

This is about assistants getting paid to push kids to apparel companies, correct?

That doesn't mean the head coaches are even in the know...but it is Bruce Pearl we're talking about here.

I just hope none of Will Wade's new crew are involved. I couldn't handle that news right now. I'm too fragile.

Perhaps previous stops? They're basically accused of giving and accepting bribes to steer folks to particular schools, managers, advisors, etc.

I'm really anxious to see what they mean by corruption in this case.

Right now my stance is: "This is the type of shite the FBI is investigating? Shoe companies and CBB? Don't they have real crimes to solve?" But I'm willing to be persuaded that it's legit.

Eh, no problem with this. Either they got wind of this through another investigation or through a tip. They didn't just sit down one day and day "oh, lets go after college basketball."

Is the FBI only involved because it crossed state lines OR because it's something huge? This will be interesting.

Well, if you consider many pro contracts for apparel companies are multi-million dollar contracts, and the potential for this case to include multiple eventual pros... this could be significant money involved.

Is it going to solve world peace or make LeBron shut his pie hole? Probably not. But I can see the potential of competitors income being negatively impacted in the millions of dollars range.
