We have to discuss the set-up every year for one tournament ...

Well of course.

This is the US Open.

Per gc, there's about a 250 yd difference between the 1920s and today in the set-up ...

Per the Big Easy, rough even just 15 years ago was easy to advance the ball out of. Says it's basically impossible now.

Between the course, and Fox covering this tournament, anybody else think this might be too stupid to watch?

I can mute the sound. If they haven't brought their production up to the level of CBS & NBC, then yea, it's going to be tough to watch.

For years , they did a really good job of keeping the winning score at even. That's perfect for the US Open.

Mute the sound, sure. But can you mute them not being able to find approach shots?

Do I need to elaborate? I thought it was pretty clear.

A sauna without faldo is not a sauna. It's a very humid room.

You'll watch ... We'll all watch ... At the least, who wouldn't watch a $10 million wacky world of golf tournament? ...

Of course I'll watch. I never said I wouldn't but Joe buck sucks and they had too many people giving commentary to the point that Norman barely said anything last year. Sonders should be cleaning clubs and making sandwiches foe the players instead of butchering interviews.

The sauna better allow smoking because El Pato is gearing up for his annual out of nowhere major performance. Only two top 50's in 16 appearances this year? He's got the field right where he wants them.

Smoking is encouraged.

Heck, in most of the Euro events it's mandatory.

What ya think happens when that ladle drips that mountain spring water on to a hot, unexpecting rock?

There's an old saying where I grew up, "Where there's smoke, there's a sauna."
