Can be anything you bought/sold(real estate, equities, etc).

Mine: bought FCX at 19.13 on Jan 15 hoping for a short term run up after some disappointing guidance. Got greedy and didn't sell when I was up ~20% in May, still holding it at 6.78.

Share in my pain fellow MTers and confess your sins.

Uh, how about those Mets?

Probably one of my Twitter covered call trades that imploded... or it could have been Micron. I don't know. I can't remember anything but a flash of light, followed by a loud bang... and then my money disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

I'll be working on my year end statement review next weekend. Might be a good time to start drinking again.

Bought $6k worth of EGRX around $13 a share late last year, watched it drop to like $9 and then bounce up to $14ish in January and sold for a tiny profit.... A week later egrx goes on a ridiculous ascent and soon hits $100 a share

Damn, I bought Lowes a few years back at 17 and sold at around 28, ended up getting over at least 70.

Nasdaq futures long position in late December/Early January. Had way too much leverage and held on for way too long.

Me as well. Bought FCX around $20 beginning of year, sold and took the loss ($6.59) because I owned SIBC and was cashed out on its sale. Didn't want to take a big capital gains hit is why I sold. Do plan to buy back in on FCX at end of January though.

Close call between ERN- in at $5.10, rode it up to $9 and all the way down to current, or WFM- up about 20% until it missed earnings, then the law suits, etc. ended up down around 20% before I finally gave up and sold it to buy KR
