Thanks. Both banks/CU that you mentioned are online only. Do you ever miss going into a branch for something? What if you get a check that you want cashed?
I haven't been in a bank branch in a long time.
The only real issue is if someone gives you a load of cash, but I don't deal drugs so this isn't a common occurrence.
If someone owes me $100 or less I'll just keep it on me and use it when a need arises. But USAA does send you deposit envelopes if you ever did need to do that. Some UPS Stores act as bank branches for USAA but I'm not sure of all the services they can provide as I haven't needed to use them.
As for check cashing, I take a picture of the check and deposit it with my phone into my checking account. I can then visit any ATM I want since USAA refunds $15 a month in ATM fees and mobile deposits are available instantly up to $10,000 per day.
