Somewhat off topic, but I stayed in one of Starwood's Aloft hotels last week.

Pretty interesting concept.

So Lazard and Citigroup advised Starwood and Deutsche Bank advised Marriott on the deal. I bet those on the deal at Deutsche Bank are celebrating on their way out, come early next year after bonuses. Rumor is DB might be shutting down their IB practice...or at least scaling it back. Tons of people are leaving for other banks as we speak.
