How is BADM 701 with White?
I just looked at the schedule and he wants us to read 6 chapters a week? Seems insane.
Tips on strategy?
I just finished BADM700 with a 99%. But that class took a lot of time also and was only 2 chapters a week.

Anyone tackled the FIN 730 final test yet? Looking at taking it tomorrow night. I don't see it being much more than definitions and the two problems on dGAP and mGap.

quote:I'm taking it this approaching session too. I know 3 other students, including a work buddy, who have taken it and they all said it was the worst class they've had in the program. Not the hardest content or anything like that but the worst in terms of how much material is crammed into the 7 weeks.

My buddy recommended I brush up on statistics during this week break to give myself a little bit of a head start for when that portion of the class kicks in during week 3. Considering I haven't taken a statistics class since undergrad over 10 years ago, that's what I'm going to try to do.

I haven't taken it yet. I plan on taking it today, I am a little nervous to start. I need a 44/50 to get an A.. Hoping I can get that. I did very poorly on the first test, so didn't think an A was possible then I averaged a 97 on the next two.

I hope to take FIN730 tonight. Its been a rough work week. I have 2 exams that close tomorrow and I don't feel prepared for either.
Good luck everyone on wrapping up the session.

Good Luck! All I need is 35/50 to get an A so I hope that I have not slacked off so much on this one that I don't maintain that "A"!

I think I might also. Celebrate this weekend with a beer and two days of surf, and spend next week reading a few chapters.
I also really don't like having only an e-text to read. I spend all day on the computer for work so I know I am going to get exhausted starting at a screen.
Its a good thing my team just put out a new product haha LINK

quote:I'm the same way. I'd rather have the option to read it from paper AND do the eBook thing when I need to search for something quick. Apparently you can buy a printed version of it but it's not bound. You have to throw it in a binder yourself. I already did that for a class and the pages were like tissue paper; they kept ripping and falling out. I'm just going to suck it up with the eBook for this one.

Just finished 730. No math, lots of writing. Took every bit of the allotted time even without going back to review answers. It won't be my highest score but it should be more than enough to keep my A.

I just finished as well. I had one dGAP question and I answered when I was taking the test and then when I got through I went back to it and changed my answer. Hope I did not overthink the question!!!
Glad these 7 weeks are gone. I learned a bit of new stuff in FIN 730, most was a refresher until this last module.
I took MADM 760 and it was a BORE! But that is not my area of focus in my career so I was not that interested in it to say the least. Enjoy your week off!

When I took it, I enjoyed the text of MADM760 with the real company examples but yeah those skill builders were horrible.
Definitely preferred FIN701 over 730 in regards to the material as it related more to my job. However, I think 730 was easier and much less demanding of time.

I took my FIN 730 test yesterday afternoon. Got my grade last night. I got the score i needed for an A. I enjoyed the 701 material a lot more but overall 730 was definitely an easier course. I would recommend both of those with vines though.
I doubled up FIN 730 and MADM 760 which wasnt bad and I would definitely recommend the combination. I enjoyed the layout and content of madm 760.
Next course is ACCT 701 with Mcgee.

Any insight you have on BADM701, with Douglas White, would be very much appreciated.
I was also considering delaying that course and taking ACCT 701 first. Thoughts?

ACCT 701 is McGee for AP1 this summer. However, it sounds like it really doesn't matter what prof you get. Basically the same cengage layout as BADM700.

How is MADM 715-Employment Law?
Posted on 4/30/17 at 10:22 am to JeffLSU
Just finished MADM 715. I doubled it with FIN730. Interesting subject and not a very time consuming class but the tests weren't easy.
Grading consisted of answering questions on 2 chapters/week (Just need to do them, right or wrong doesn't matter. 40 pts./week). A 50 question quiz (mc & TF) every week on the 2 chapters. (100 pts./week) It is proctored. The questions and the quizzes were through McGraw Hill connect. We also had to do a virtual presentation (PowerPoint w/narrative and video) for the Business Student Research Forum worth 300 pts.
I finished with a 93 but based on the discussion forums I think A's were rare. Due to the proctoring, you definitely have to read and know the chapter material.
