Any advice on how to study for the exam? Was it all multiple choice and true/false? Did you get your grade immediately following?

Just finished. 60 questions wasn't too bad. I had 4:00 or so left over when I was on last question.

I'm in BADM 700 right now.

Registered for ACCT 701 and FIN 701 in AP1 and MADM 751 in AP2.

Probably going to drop FIN 701 though, as I don't know that I have enough free time handle 2 courses at once.

Hello, this is my first time posting but I have appreciated all the great information that I have read here. I'm taking FIN 701 w/ Hsieh currently and really struggling with his exams. I'm concerned that I will not pass this class. Any advice?

Sorry, but I had Dr. Vines and barely made a B. I wish I knew more about your professor. How many tests do you have? Dr. Vines had 4.

I had multiple people, including one of my advisers, nudge me away from Hsieh and recommend I take from Vines.

I suggest reaching out and asking your assigned coach for help.

We have 4 but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th have extra A and B parts. It is difficult to prepare for and his questions are worded in a difficult way. I have to pretty much ace the 3rd and 4th exams to get a C. This is my 3rd course in the program and I have done well in the other two. I'm concerned about the tuition loss and my GPA. What happens if I get a D?

Thank you so much. I will try doing that. I really appreciate you responding. I've been so upset and discouraged about this. The worst part is that my undergraduate degree was in finance. It's been a major stress.

I feel for you. Go easy on yourself. You are not the first person who's had a rough time in Hsieh's class. He's known for this. So it's not just you.

Man, that took me forever to answer all the questions asked in our module 3 assignment for MADM 701. That was a lot of required writing in the same week we also had a test...

Don't be too discouraged. You're definitely not alone.

I got a D with Chengho [Hsieh] and an A with this guy. Partial credit on exams, make sure you use the reading guide.

I find the directions for assignments confusing and the amount of writing is serious. I don't think I could do two classes at once and still work full-time.

It's insane. Last assignment was 1670 words for me.

I hear you. My word count was up there too. Please tell me other classes aren't this demanding for writing. My two classes in the program so far, MKT 701 and this MADM 701 have a ton of writing. I'm hoping the remaining 8 classes are easier on the writing.

I'm taking FIN 701 from Vines during next term.

mydougie89 how is ECON 705 and who are you taking it with?? I'm nervous for this class and I'll probably be taking it during Spring AP2.

Paul Allen and socal I'm in your MADM 701 class as well. Same complaints. Confusing and lengthy instructions, especially last weeks assignment - I feel like what she was asking for warranted a 10 page paper instead of 1000 words. I've scored above average on all the writing assignments but I only got 92/120 on the test last week. Right now I'm sitting at a low B so I'm really hoping to do well with the rest of the assignments.
