The email just states that there is a typo in Moodle and that the word count for assignments is what the syllabus states. 500 words/chapter for 1000 total minimum.

I've got two undergrads from there. Business classes were pretty legit when I was there. I've never done an online course though. I'm sure they range in difficulty and workload, but I've heard a lot of people who come back to LSUS from other schools were in for a rude awakening thinking they would walk through some of these business courses. But hey, its been a minute.I'd try two out then adjust my schedule on intensity. Also I think there's a rate my professor site out there where you can get an idea of what you may be up against in specific courses

When you say MADM 760 was a breeze, please explain? Like okay to pair with another course. I am taking ISDS 702 Spring AP2 and could pair it that term.

MADM 760 was the easiest class so far that I've taken in the program. I regret not pairing it with another class. Meeks is very lax with his grading on weekly assignments. There are weekly quizzes (usually 5 questions, but you're limited to 5 mins for completion) and no tests. He does curve the quizzes each week. The key is getting with a good group. There are weekly zoom presentations that you're required to record and submit, but if you get a good group...it's a piece of cake. When reading all the class feedback, it seems that most people complained about poor group member contribution as being the main issue.

So MADM 760 sounds like maybe the best class to pair with another one. Any more opinions? I don't want to commit to 2 classes and then get over my head.

Paul, so MADM 751 and 752 were easy? Meaning, minimal writing and time required?

Paul, I realized the courses you mentioned are the entrepreneurial-related courses. Since I've been an entrepreneur for a number of years I want to focus my classes on areas where I lack experience.

So which core classes are easier that others? I'm thinking about taking Financial classes for my electives. Are they harder than others.

FIN 730 w/ Vines was a breeze. Hell any FIN class with Vines would be fine IMO.

I agree with 9BREES9, FIN 730 was pretty easy. No busy work, just 4 tests in which he gives partial credit.

Just looked at our Module #5 assignment for this THANKSIVING week. Wow, it's lot of questions to answer. I'll be spending serious holiday time writing answers for what seems like 10 different questions.

I know I may sound like a whiner but there seems to be a lot of questions we get in these odd weeks when we get the assignment as opposed to the even weeks when we get the "from your experience" forum posting. And it's Thanksgiving week... Would have appreciated a lighter week. I'll shut up now - I see I'm whining. :)

One thing that's driving me crazy about this program is here we are on a major holiday week and it's not a lighter week / on break like a normal program.

badm700 (acct/finance) has a test this week which includes homework that just opened and a long weekend that is a major travel holiday.

You guys in Org Behavior seem slammed.

For a distance/online program that caters toward working adults, it sure feels like they're not in touch with the balance that most of us have between school, work, and family!

I agree. I would've enjoyed a lighter week this week, or just a typical one. This assignment seems particularly heavy. Its not appreciated. I was looking forward to getting some other things done after finishing my homework. Looks like I'll be hunched over my laptop again this week. Glad I'm not traveling.

And mtntreks, what is required in our class as far as papers go really isn't that bad imo. The frustration comes from having to decipher what the instructor wants. For instance I was docked on my last assignment because I forgot to answer one of the millions of questions that they asked us to answer. Imagine the teacher asking you to answer the following question and that question turns out to be a giant run-on sentence with different topics.

Yeah, I followed the same outline that I did in the week 1 assignment for the week 3 assignment, even copied and pasted my reference. I went from a 95% in my week 1 grade to an 80% on my week 3 grade. She stated that my references weren't cited correctly and that might responses to the questions were not masterly level responses. I had well over 1600 words and 3 pages of information turned in for that assignment. Only 3 more weeks!
